Kalo venuenya di gunung, dipantai ato outdoor tetap aja afdolmya disebut RAVE..
kalo mau bedain bahwa event tsb ga trance / ga mpe ke trance, mungkin buat :
"WIREHOUSE" ya ?? tempatnya di sana gitu lah ato cari yang spt itu..kaya di San Fransisco kaleee 
jadi berbalik araj dengan venue RAVE..

rave used to be a term for illegal parties held in warehouses (sebelum akhirnya mulai di lapangan terbuka).........

if u insist to chatter about the music played on raves back then (earlier raves), the music was mainly house, acid house, and techno (circa early 1980s)....then trance started to kick in circa end of 1980s......evolving from a "mixture" of house and harder techno and reached its popularity on mid 1990s.....(along with progressive house and progressive trance)....

but enough about that, every genre has its own beauty ya gak sih.......... jd kalo mengartikan rave sih menurut gw harusnya bukan dari genre musiknya......say kalo rave itu pasti trance...ya gak gitu juga sih.......

mustinya sih rave itu ya itu tadi illegal parties held in wide open spaces (dulu sih warehouses and fields), big sound system, lighting.....EDM all night long....tp ya kan sekarang gak mungkin lah illegal2 gitu kali yee......
jadi ya mungkin sekarang definisi rave itu ya EDM party di tempat2 yang gak lazim a.k.a bukan club kali yeee.....
massive soundsytem, laser shows, kick arse lighting (idealnya yah hehehe)......and lots and lots of people (pengennya yah hehehe)......and of course quality EDM (mo house kek, techno kek, trance kek, breaks kek, Drum n Bass kek.....u name it)....
