History of Dj Georgia...Anybody know...???

Dj Goergia has been DJing for 7 years now and on Top of it has accomplised an award winning carrer in that span of time. He has managed to RECEIVE 2 nominations and ALSO won the title of Surabaya & Bali "DJ of The Year" in THE Redma awards 2006 by Ravelex, "the" website for Indonesian CLUBBERS and THE electronic dance music network. HE holdS THE regional record and this year he's nominated ONCE again for BOTH Resident DJ of The Year and Bali DJ of The Year.

Q : Congratulations on your repeat nominations!
A : Thank you! The five of us in DeJavu have been nominated, so it's all good fun.

Q : You've really accomplished a lot since you started in 2000. How did it all begin?
A : As a hobby. I learned how to DJ and then after about 3 months, I became a resident at Q Bar. After a while, I moved on to DeeJay Café and then I got this offer from Jakarta to be a resident at the A2 Club at Alila hotel. They said they would send me to school in London to major in Music Technology before I could start working as their resident. How can one turn down an offer like that??

Q : So why did you come back to Bali then?
A : Because DeJavu gave me a better offer!

Q : Another offer you couldn't turn down! Tell us about your best gig.
A : The most recent was the Smirnoff Street Party. There were about 7500 people there so it was really awesome! Also when I played 12 hours straight at DeeJay Café. That one's still a record!

Q : DJs that you love?
A : Internationally, I like DJ Judge Jules (UK). He's really great and can play any type of music. Locally, I like DJ Romy. His original production, "Velocity," damn...

Q : So when do we get to hear an original Georgia production?
A : Soon, I hope. Hahaha!
