DJ Peter P first got into music at the age of seven coming from a musical family (father a jazz singer) and (brother keyboard player) music was always around at home. By ten years old he had already built up a sizeable record collection and over the next few years compiled cassette tapes to sell at school. It was no surprise that in 1982 at 15 years old Peter left school and made his debut as a dj at the regency suite east London. The music at the time was northern soul and rare groove and DJ PP soon built up a following and played many clubs all over the country and at various scooter rallies. By 1986 house music was arriving and the soul scene was fading out in London. He started playing around the top clubs in Essex and London for a few years and also appeared on a few local radio stations. In 1989 DJ PP was taken to Ibiza to work for two weeks and ended up staying the whole season picking up residencies at Nitelifes and the Star club as well as fronting several beach parties. 1990 saw a residency at world famous Hippodrome in London and the once monthly return to Ibiza for various promotions. The next few years saw a steady stream of work at clubs in London including Equinox, Bar Rumba, Jimmyz, Buzz Bar, Fish Club, Slap Harrys, Ministry of Sound 100 Club, Milk Bar, Limelights, Club UK, Lipsticks and many others. DJ PP has toured all around the world deejaying including Spain, Czech, Cyprus, Greece, France and many times in Indonesia including Double Six club Bali. His style of music is soulful funky and Latin house but he still finds time to do the odd soul night here and there. Essex clubs played Ilford Palais, The Hope, Room At The Top, Faces, Villa,Corks, Hollywoods, Time & Envy, Edwards, Rbeeze, Havelocks, Cellar Club, Soulfull Shack, Chains, Legends, Zero 6,Rising Sun, Secrets, The Kings, Stop Outs and others. 2005 is an exciting time with bookings to play in Indonesia and Bali and being at the forefront of promoting funky house in Indonesia.
