But seriously, gw rasa apa yg udh di sebutin tadi sama Adagio memang realita. Namun, kita punya option sebenernya, mau ikut gerbong yg seperti itu apa mau ikut gerbong yg laen. Gak ada yang salah, it's just another form of how other people do their bussiness. You may go with it, you may go against it, but I don't think anything's wrong with it. CMIIW  ;D

yang penting bangun karakter dulu si sob.. make your set as unique as possible... mau deep, mau pumping terserah..

kalo skill and trick bisa dipelajari di dj school ama tutorial di youtube etc.... terus networking jalanin, sama manfaatin digital media (podcasat, rapid share dll) buat promotoe mixtape...  kalo emang niat, pasti jalan akan terbuka... :)

ada saran ga dari para senior gimana caranya dj pemula pengen maju tapi idealis..
jadi dia maenin track" yang sesuai keinginan dia. bukan yang pasaran istilahnya.

kan susah tuh buat dj baru yang pengen idealis buat maju. istilahnya susah buat dapet "tanggal"

ada saran?

Gini sih sob lo kan kalo main harus perhatiin crowd juga..anggaplah crowd2 itu bayi2 yg biasa makan bubur milna tapi pengen lo kasih prenagen.kan ga bisa langsung lo kasih prenagen bayi2 tersebut akan muntah langsung.jadi lo kudu pelan2 pertama kasih bubur milna dulu pelan2 lo kurangin porsinya 1/3 dan lo ganti prenagen lama2 lo jadiin 1/2 milna dan 1/2 prenagen sampe lama2 full prenagen.hehe..jadi dalam set lo bisa lo selipin 2 ato 3 lagu yg komersil (sesuai genre lo) untuk menarik perhatian mereka pelan2.baru pas mereka udah kepegang semua sama lo silahkan lo keluarin track2 andalan lo yg ga pasaran dan unik.ini cara yg diajarin ke gw untuk mengedukasi crowd terhadap genre2 baru..semoga sukses ya sob :)

menurut gue.. kalau memang lo idealis banget.. langkah pertama adalah lo kumpulin org2 yg sefaham sama elo... mau itu 10 orang, 50 orang, 100 orang... baik dari dj sendiri atau pendengar... intinya, bentuk komunitas lo sendiri...

terus berikutnya.. jgn muluk lsg minta yg namanya "tanggal" di sebuah club.. apalagi yang udah gede... pastinya lo sosialisasi dulu.... main2 lah ke club2... coba lo bagi lah cd mixtape lo ke pelaku2 edm disitu... baru coba minta tanggal buat main.... not necessarily big clubs... club kecil aja...

nah pas lo dapet tanggal utk main... lo kerahkan semua pasukan lo (komunitas lo tadi) untuk ngeramein.. tp inget.. jgn ngarep lsg rame dan profitable... santai aja kalo gak begitu rame... tp inget harus konsisten... memang sih kadang club suka rese juga kalo pemasukan kecil tamu sedikit dll... thats why pilih club nya mungkin juga harus ati2..

seiring waktu dengan konsistensi lo dan komunitas lo.. gue rasa lama2 bakal jadi besar... trust me...

dulu taun 95an, gue rasa temen2 dr label2 besar juga pasti ngalamin hal yang sama.. katakan lah Future10, ON, ataupun 1945... mungkin pd inget parkit jaman dulu? hehehe

coba liat mereka skrg?

so menurut gue.. konsistensi, kesabaran dan passion adalah kuncinya... jangan cepet2 pgn main di club gede.. jgn cepet2 pgn tenar.. banyak gig, dapet duit banyak dr nge DJ... dll.... true it is hard... but it is do able...
