All crew..

We would like to invite you to join the world of Setup!, a new drum and bass appointment launching on Saturday the 25th February, and a great reason not to stay in on the last Saturday of every month.

Picking up from where Guerrilla left off, and appealing to a broader prospective D+B audience as well as the converted massive, Setup! will be bringing in extra flavours on a regular basis by inviting live performers, such as percussionists and other musicians to enhance the feel of the evening, and bring a fresher sound to the affair. For the opening party, we have invited Syed Ahmed from Wicked Aura Batucada and Stone Revival to work his magic with some percussive hi-jinx.

There is limited (first 50) RSVP to get in FREEE! Just pop a mail with your name to info@homeclub.com.sg or setup_DnB@yahoogroups.com. The RSVP guestlist closes at midnight sharp.

Location: Home Club http://www.homeclub.com.sg

$15 + drink after 11 p.m

The players:

Kicking things off with be LiveWire, dropping his usual tasteful selection. Twinhed will be exploring the liquid vs. raggamuffin sound; pound for pound, round for round, with Clart following through with his trademark deep and rolling style, and J.K delivering darker double drop devastation as the coup de grĂ¢ce.

Running things on the mic will be DMZ, providing instruction for the construction of a wicked, unforgettable series of events, but the latter part is up to you lot.

With crisp delivery of upfront raucous business, this evening promises to be a ride through the spectrum of drum and bass; dub wise and otherwise.

Who do we think we are?!

Clart:

Starting out in the UK, clart started spinning drum n' bass in Guildford, Surrey at his Uni DnB night, Presha in early 2002. During this period, he hooked up with dj/producer Canuba and started honing his abilities, remixing and dj'ing for Canuba's independent dance label Logical Noise in London.
In Guildford, Clart has shared deck duties with the Rotation crew, F.D, Subterra, Sachio, Lean and Network. In London, he has spun alongside the rude bwoys, Leenie and Canuba for Logical Noise.
Currently in Singapore, Clart plays for InnnerNation and has guested for a number of collectives including Exitmusik, Subversive and Guerrilla. Clart has also recently played out in Kunming, China and was a guest dj on Trio Radio Station, FM 97.7 in Budapest, Hungary.
Apart from dj'ing, clart also makes his own productions.

D.M.Z:

An Indonesian geeza :p shared the love in DNB with Exitmusik, Stereowerk, InnerNation and Junglizta. Got his first duty on the mic with Zul from Subvert alongside Pendulum. Once there's a time when DJ Vortex (www.exitmusik.com) gave him a chance to do a studio mix for the web and from there he got his chance in Singapore to share his vision and mission in Drum and Bass, doing his own music production to support the his passion for a good vibe. He has worked alongside DJ SS, Influx U.K, and MC Warren G at the World of Drum and Bass party. Starting in local with Bima, Danes, Xonad, Beatz, Wesa, Icham and "Lil Dasa". You will not be disappointed when he's on the mic, decks, or in the studio. Or even in live acts. And his shared his love with kemal reza in the game industry. And DMZ in charge as composer of the game.
Get ready for our game industry JUNGLE SOLDIER a dedication for 'the leftfield people.'
This guy is a drum and bass addict. Or maybe we can just call it MUSIC....and also keep the connection @ www.junglizta.com to share the vision and mission in life.

J.K:

Got into Drum & Bass while he was studying in London at SAE(sound audio engineering). JK(Jack Kim) is originally from Korea. He started out playing at London Squat Parties before moving back to Singapore to involved in numerous parties at Union bar, Mad Monks, Rouge, Home bar, The Art house, Bar None and Esplanade outdoor theatre, Jakarta(rouge) etc.
JK and DMZ(InnerNation) teamed up to form InnerNation, bringing in DJ SS, Influx UK & MC Warren G. Jk has supported Pendulum, Dj SS, Influx UK. Jk has also been featured in numerous parties in Singapore playing with Exitmuzik, Guerrilla , Subversive and InnerNation.
JK likes to spin deep, hard and rolling, a la RAM records. His trademark style can be described in two words, Double Drop!

Twinhed:

Justin AKA Twinhed started out at legendary rave/hardcore spot The Dungeons in London's East End back in 1990. Since then, he has been out and about playing everywhere including France, Switzerland, the U.S, Japan, Germany and Italy (where he was based for five years before coming to Singapore). Nominated as 'D+B DJ#1 - 2004' by Italian junglists, Justin then set up FleXuouS - a Brazillion jungle style session that was also nominated as Italy's top drum 'n' bass event for 2004. He represented the city of Milan at the Italian 2004 D+B convention in Reggio Emilia. Justin has played alongside the likes of Total Science, Andy C, Storm, Randall, MC Dynamite, Makoto, Concord Dawn, Utah Jazz and NuTone, as well as LTJ Bukem (hitting America as part of the Progression Sessions experience).

Since arriving in Singapore, he has had an excellent time playing with the Guerrilla and InnerNation crew at Home, Phuture and Rouge, as well as other mysteron venues. Production project in the pipeline is the SG Pressure 12''.
