The Official Blurb:

Solaris Heights return to Renaissance to kick-start 2008! 'No Trace' takes off from where 'Vice' left us earlier in the year, fusing the bands distinct, 80's-tinged male vocal with infectious melodies. "There aren't many good songs around," says Anton Fielding, one half of the group, "Infact it's a real challenge to produce a full vocal these days without falling into the trap of becoming too cheesy, which is the last thing Solaris Heights is about."

Have they succeeded? We'll let you be the judge... But for the avoidance of any doubt Renaissance have also roped in a little help from French homme du jour, Popof, who twists things up in his unique Gallic-style, eschewing the vocal for the melody. The result is a peak-time anthem that further confirms why he's currently the toast of a diverse selection of DJs and labels, be it John Digweed, Sasha, Damian Lazarus and Villalobos or CR2, Leftroom and Skryptom respectively.

Neil Quigley, no stranger to the Renaissance decks, jumps to the studio for his production debut on the label, providing a deep-house foil to Popof's driving interpretation. His remix an expression of his distinct affinity with the beautiful, deep house sound that has established him as one of the most exciting up and coming DJs of recent years.

Solaris Heights is a very rare example of an integral song at a time when they are hard to find or come by and will surely delight many. However, in true Renaissance fashion, the vocally challenged may wish to pay close attention to the all-important dubs, once again included on the package here.
