NRK music sign Kerri Chandler

West London house label NRK music continue to fortify their reputation as quality house peddlers by signing another huge record out of New York. Hot on the heels of Â'LetÂ's Be YoungÂ' by Quentin Harris, the NRK crew have landed Kerri ChandlerÂ's Â'Bar A ThymÂ'. This track came to prominence in Miami this year with its distinctive heavyweight cowbell driven percussion catching the ears of the Nitegrooves/King St. imprint who released the track stateside. Kerri ChandlerÂ's career kick-started in 1990, courtesy of the UK label, Champion Records with his trademark deep beats doing the business on labels such as Ibadan, Strictly Rhythm, Shelter, Large, Wave as well as his own Madhouse label.

NRK have picked up Â'Bar A ThymÂ' for Europe, and have already commissioned a vocal remix from Foremost Poets, AKA NYÂ's Johnny Dangerous. Foremost Poets were behind the massive Â'MoonrakerÂ' track from 2000, and subsequently picked up by Junior and remixed by King Unique a couple of years back. Expect a few more remixes on the Â'Bar A ThymÂ' release.
