About Victor G :

Victor G started DJing at a tender age of 15 spinning tunes in high school proms and house parties. As he immersed in the club culture more than 9 years ago behind the turntables as he took up his first residency in The Whiteroom as he learnt the whiz and skills of house music behind the decks. Establishing his residency there, Victor G has learnt the know-how to easily entertain the crowd on the dance floor.

Later on, he took up residency in KL’s premier pre-club Echo Bar and Ohm Private where he has matured musically. Citing John Digweed and Carl Cox as his main influences, Victor’s sets is funky, uplifting and exciting. Playing a wide range in house, tech house, electro to techno, he easily pulled crowd from its inception. Needless to say, he has graced the decks in all major super clubs in Kuala Lumpur. He is also a familiar face in numerous local lifestyle and clubbing magazine like FHM, Klue, Faces and Juice. On January 2004, Victor G hosted his very own dance show wicked on red104.9 radio station. Victor has also rocked dance floors internationally such as Tokyo, Bali, Jakarta, Singapore, Brunei, Melbourne, Australia and recently played in the Full Moon Party in Koh Phangan, Thailand where it was attended by a massive 20,000 international party goers.

On September 2003, Victor participated and won first place in the Heineken Juice Magazine DJ Quest. One year later, he bagged another trophy by winning the 2004 Vestax Extravaganza DJ competition mixing category and the Pioneer Digital DJ Battle 2004 and 2005 championship and recently the Pioneer Digital DJ Battle Asian championship 2006. This shows that he acclaimed technical superiority on the decks among the rest.

Although 9 years in the club scene, Victor G has been exposed to various music directions and has shared the decks alongside big names such as Mauro Picotto (ITA), Eric Entrena (ESP), Hybrid (UK), Luke Chable (AUS), Dano (USA), DJ Tatiana (USA), BT (USA), Dimitri from Paris (FRA) and many more.

Musically matured, he has spent a lot of time in productions where he has received the support by numerous djs globally. Also a his track “Dispenser” released under Gillazia Records for the Presence Global Dancefloor compilation. Few other projects and remixes are on the way as he will be releasing under Love International and many more.

Now, Victor G takes up residency at the new Malaysian superclub, Euphoria by Ministry of Sound London. He anchors every Thursdays and Fridays where he continues to push cutting edge sounds of house while never failing to rock the dancefloor.

“   Victor G’s set was a mature one that showcased technical expertise as well as music sense, and while these were qualities displayed to differing degree, he    was clearly superior. “ ~The Star 22nd October 2004 ~”
