The pioneering sounds of the influential English bands Joy Division and New Order were marked both by the vocals of the late Ian Curtis, and by the sinister, throbbing bass of guitarist Peter Hook. Back in the 1970s, Hook's bass instilled the importance of rhythm in punk rock, helping to inspire a generation of dance-oriented new wave bands.

Since 2002, however, Hook has been marching to a beat of a different drum - as a DJ, having over two decades of quality music firmly tucked into his record box.
