Setelah sukses digelar di Jepang (Tokyo Crossover Jazz), tahun 2007 ini untuk pertama kalinya di Indonesia akan digelar Jakarta Crossover Jazz. Acara yang diberi tajuk Dji Sam Soe Super Premium Presents Jakarta Crossover Jazz Festival ini akan
diselenggarakan di The Hall-Senayan City lantai 8 pada tanggal 7 September mendatang. Temanya pun tak kalah menarik yaitu "Pump up the jazz", dimana ingin mengajak Anda semua para jazz lover untuk lebih memacu adrenalin musik bersama crossover jazz yang penuh dengan musik-musik jazz tidak biasa!

Sedikit sejarah tentang perkembangan musik jazz hingga terbentuknya genre crossover. Sebuah genre baru dalam musik jazz yang dilatari oleh menjamurnya klub-klub dan dance scene menjelang era tahun 2000-an. Perpaduan antara kultur dance dan musik jazz yang dibawakan oleh DJ-DJ di klub akhirnya mengusung aliran baru bernama crossover yang ada sekarang ini.
