D.Ramirez

Venus & Mars (You Can't Handle This)
[D.Ramirez 2005 Mix]

Slave Recordings

Electro

10/05

First appeared a couple of years ago on Vudu and championed by all; subsequently remixed on Lot49. Returning for a 3rd time with new mixes, this is a brilliant track that shouldn't leave the box. Pure kitschness mixed with equal parts funky, and phatness. D.Ramirez takes his mix minimal and techy, with a dirty growling bassline that develops throughout the track, ending in a climactic finish.

[The Force Dub Mix]

Slave Recordings

Beats/Breaks

10/05

New mixes of the brilliant "Venus & Mars". The Force (Leiam Sullivan – Mr Pink, Max Linen, Ceramix) creates an amazing mix for the funkier floors! He takes on Venus & Mars, twisting and turning it into and almost P-funk track, with old skool 80s electro stabs, tough jackin drums and cheeky vocal cut ups aplenty. that shouldn't leave the box.

The incredible acappella from the excellent "Venus & Mars". This is one to keep in the box and use to great effect over and over.

New from Four:twenty Recordings Â'The Day Hip Hop DiedÂ' seeÂ's James Mowbray teaming up with D.Ramirez for something a bit special for the first time the result is simpleÂ.....Dirty, twisted, house music. A comment on the poor state of hip hop in 2005. What the f*£k happened to the revolution?

[D.Ramirez vs Kristoph Stereowhore Re-Think]

Slave Recordings

Electro

08/05

The D. Ramirez vs Kristoph 'Stereowhore' Re-Think' adds a little wiggle to the beats, a little punch to the stabs and a little robotic freakiness to the whole tune. If bleepy electronic house is your thing, you'd better think about buying this tune.

Dutch bros Roog & Greg (aka Hardsoul), serve up an electronic tinged dancefloor vibe. D.Ramirez toughens things up a bit with a peak time dancefloor monster which might be a step too far for Hardsoul fans.

Lot49 imprint returns with the first full breakbeat 12Â" from tribal house don D.Ramirez. Â"SlaveÂ" features a Tenaglia-esque pitch-shifted vocal, trademark tribal beats and acid-mayhem aplenty and has seen club support from Meat Katie, Hybrid, James Lavelle, Deep Dish, Satoshi Tomiie and Lee Coombs

Â"Venus & MarsÂ" was originally released to massive acclaim on Ramirez's now defunct Vudu label, but this version is a brand new update in the form of a collaborative mix from Meat Katie & D.Ramirez. This remix has already been included on Soul Of ManÂ's Y4K and on Pete TongÂ's Essential Selection

Meat Katie returns with the next in his series of artist collaborations, this time teaming up with DistinctiveÂ's Christian J to produce what is already being touted as a top contender for next years Breaks track of the year.
