Armin akan Membuat A State of Dubstep

Setelah drama ASOT 550 tentang DJ Fei Fei yang mainin Dubstep di panggung trance ini, Armin sepertinya sedang mempertimbangkan membuat sebuah radio show yang menjembatani musik Trance dan Dubstep dengan judul A State of Dubstep. Berikut ini beritanya yang dikutip dari Inthemix...

It shouldn't come as any surprise to those familiar with the trance overlord that Armin van Buuren is a man with plenty of irons in the fireplace. So when we got Armin on the phone yesterday morning to talk about his A State Of Trance 550 compilation – which features tracks from scene leaders like Paul van Dyk, Aly & Fila, John O'Callaghan and W&W – we were sure to ask what else the producer has in store for his fans.

"Actually, I'm going to launch a new bi-monthly radio show," Armin told inthemix down the line between ASOT 550 celebrations. "Except this show is going to focus on that crossover between trance and dubstep. I think it will be called A State of Dubstep," he said with typical enthusiasm. "As I say time and time again, never be a prisoner of your style."

Apparently, the decision to launch the new bass-heavy show came out of the recent DJ Fei Fei drama. "I just feel really excited about a lot of the dubstep that's emerging at the moment, and I feel like there should be a place for it," Armin explained. "ASOT may not have been the place, but I think the new show will be a really good way to appreciate all the great stuff that's coming. Look at someone like BT, who has been able to bridge that gap between dubstep and trance in a really exciting way."

And what else is on Armin's plate? "I'm actually working on my fifth solo album," he revealed. "But the main focus now is the A State Of Trance 550 tour...and spending time with my daughter, of course."

If all goes according to plan, the first bi-monthly episode of A State of Dubstep is set to kick off sometime over the next couple of months.
