Future Music Festival Coming to Asia

Future Music Festival, salah satu festival EDM terbesar Australia, yang setiap tahunnya mengadakan festival keliling di 5 kota besar negeri kangguru itu, menurut website resminya akan membawa brand besar ini ke benua Asia. Belum diketahui kota mana yang akan dipilih untuk event ini, tapi sebuah teaser page sudah di setup di  facebooknya.

Manager Tour festival ini Brett Robinson membuat pengumuman soal ekspansi ini:
"Our vision for Future Music Festival was for it to become something that is respected and celebrated globally. Our commitment to presenting the biggest and boldest artists and best possible event experience seems to have been recognised with demand for the festival to venture abroad. With Asia on our doorstep and the wealth of talent we now tour from one side of the globe to the other it makes perfect sense for the artist to do an much as possible whilst in this region. We have had interest for several years now in launching Future Music Festival in Asia but wanted to wait for the right opportunity to present itself, which we have now found. We are excited to be announcing what we hope will be embraced as one of Asia's biggest music festivals in coming years and very much look forward to revealing all the details very soon."

Future Music Festival rencananya akan dimulai di kota Brisbane pada tanggal 3 Maret 2012 dengan lineup bombastis seperti Swedish House Mafia, New Order, Fat Boy Slim, Skrillex, Paul Van Dyk, Sven Vath, Apex Twin, Dub Fire, Gareth Amery, Orjan Nilsen dan masih banyak lagi. Festival ini berlanjut ke kota lain seperti Melbourne, Sydney, Perth dan Adelaide.

Festival ini diadakan oleh Future Music Entertainment, sebuah promotor terbesar Australia namanya pernah didengar di tanah air dengan membuat Two Tribes Festival dan Famous, kedua event ini diadakan di Bali sekitar tahun 2005 - 2006.

Belum ada informasi tentang kota yang akan dipilih. Tetapi banyak yang akan memprediksi kalau Singapura akan dipilih, mengikuti langkah sebuah festival rock australia St. Jerome's Laneway Festival yang juga menggelarnya di kota itu. Semoga aja indonesia kepilih, ini baru yang dinamakan festival!! konsepnya banyak dijadikan 1 dan dikemas sedetail mungkin menjadi unik dan meriah. festival yang tidak akan terlupakan jika indonesia terpilih...

Future Music Festival Asia: First Lineup Announcementby Lorna Stewart-Thornton on Friday, 13th January 2012




If you've been immune to hype surrounding Future Music Festival Asia (FMFA) it's time to get infected. FMFA is an Australian-bred music festival that has brought some of the biggest and most dope names in music to thousands of punters in Australia since 2006.

Now it's our turn. Whilst there's been much speculation as to the location of the festival, JUICE can confirm that it will be taking place right here in KL. Laneway in Singapore? Radiohead in Taipei? Whatever. Future Music in KL! Who said we're missing out in 2012? And if you're still not feeling the festival buzz, here's the first ever insight to the lineup.

Five of the acts that we can exclusively unveil will be playing FMFA include:

CHEMICAL BROTHERS
GYM GLASS HEROES
COSMIC GATE
GOLDFISH & BLINK
PET CONSPIRACY
ELECTRICO

It's going to be a party of appropriately apocalyptic standards. But trust us, that's just a taste of what's to come. The full lineup covers all bases; trance, dubstep, hip hop, house, indie and more! All will be revealed over the coming weeks before Chinese New Year. And as JUICE is the official magazine of Future Music Festival Asia, this is the first and only place to get legit information on the festival and lineup. In JUICE we trust!

Future Music Festival Asia will take place 17 March 2012 in KL, more details to be revealed soon, exclusively by JUICE. Keep an eye on FMFA's Facebook page for updates, in the meantime check out newly announced act The Chemical Brothers video below.
