Ferry Corsten, siapa yang tidak tahu? DJ asal belanda ini  sudah eksis sebagai DJ Trance dari tahun 1999. Dan sekarang dia sudah menempati posisi ke 7 di polling tahunan DJ Mag. Akhir akhir ini dia meluncurkan sebuah proyek unik yang bernama FC System F Competition, sebuah kompetisi remix dengan materi dari lagu lagu dia yang pernah populer. Ravelex mendapatkan kesempatan untuk menanyakan hal ini sesaat sebelum dia main di event Jakarta Warehouse Project...

RVLX :  Hello, welcome back, whats your plan for tonite?

Ferry : I've been here a couple of times and I've seen the crowd response in X2 club, I can't hardly wait to be back on the deck playing for Indonesian crowd, but this is a bigger venue than before, so I don't really know what to expect.

RVLX :  Explain to me about what music that you play?

Ferry : I guess I call it trance music very melodic, uplifting, it's not purely trance but influence from many different styles from house, techno, electro everything really blend in, but overall I call it trance.

RVLX :  Can you explain me  about "system f" ?

Ferry : Before I was known as Ferry Corsten, I produced songs with many alias, different names for different kind of songs. I like to produce songs in a systematic ways, that's what makes the word system comes out, and F comes from Ferry, Back in 1999, I have a big breakthrough record "Out of Blue". Now its already 10 years on the road, I planned to make a new package, with new release and collaborations with Laidback Luke, Teisto, Guiseppe Octaviani and many more, from house to hard style mix. I hope the record will come out soon...

RVLX :  Could you tell us about the System F Competition?

Ferry :  The System F Competition is a Remix competition based from the Out Of Blue album tracks. I want to envolve people with my songs, and do remixes. So every producers can access each track samples from the internet, and after they completed the remix, they can upload the tracks to our server and have people vote for the remixes over the internet. There's eleven songs that resembles a football team, so I call this the league of champion, with a football themed website.

RVLX :   So you're a football fan?

Ferry :  I like football but I don't have time to follow every game. Im so busy touring and produce songs. My System F football theme just a gimmick, because we are expecting world cup in south Africa, so I thought it's a good theme...

RVLX :   Whats your favorite team?

Ferry :  The Dutch of course... hahaha...
