The UK Festival Awards, curated by virtualfestivals.com, are the only entirely publicly voted honours presented to artists and festival organisers. As such, since the hugely successful 2006 festival season ground to a halt, the UK music industry has been waiting with baited breath for the nominations for the UK Festival Awards 2006 to be disclosed.

This year, for the first time, the annual public vote will culminate in the UK's first ever live festival awards ceremony taking place in the Carling Academy, in Islington London on Thursday 19th October complete with live performances to be announced and an aftershow party to end the festival season in style!
