katanya scene ini lagi heboh diluar (uk), dengan bintangnya seperti the klaxons.
tapi menurut gua musik the klaxons lebih kental unsur punknya dibanding elektroniknya.
diluar juga lagi diperdebatkan mereka melabelkan diri sebagai nu-rave.

I thought Nu Rave was a seemingly indie band that attracted a rave following and had echoes of rave behaviour in their audience (glow sticks, etc).
Electro trance indie type music. Followers use glow sticks and wear neon clothing / some colorfull trousers.

the artist: the klaxons, the shitdisco, riot in belgium, alice in wire, the rapture, the killers, franz ferdinand, hard-fi, hot chip..

I think they called the nu rave because of their dance floor filler tracks..I Like it(the tracks)..
What I don't like is for the bands themselves to start believing the hype and the scene that they are 'creating'. Nu Rave is the commercial packaging created elsewhere. Hearing these bands whipping up the  audience with the ludicrous cries of "are you ready to rave!" to a glow stick waving school trip is a bit much. The media and young kids believing it is one thing, but when the bands start to, it's gone very wrong.


Also this is a scene created by the media, bought into by people who don't know or understand the history of where that scene or genre originally came from.

I listen to it(the band) and just know it's not rave music...

as my experience kmrn,,, Nu rave kinda a new genre band/music which can play in a club and make u dancing,,,, not fully electronic element in it, but a hippy, happy music in it,,,, gt sih sepengalaman gw kmrn,,,, band2/lagu2nya gw krg tau, tp kmrn di salah satu small club/pub di UK, lagu Mika-bravery a sempet dibilang jenis ini,,,, (krn diputer di club2/pub as a opening song sebelum DJ set

New Rave sih sebenernya bukan jenis music tetapi lebih ke sebuah movement.. disinilah penggabungan unsur dari punk, rock, hiphop  dan electronica ...  jadi  kalo ditelusuri lebih dalam, spirit of new rave itu goes beyond just particular style tapi lebih ke semua style yang digabungkan.  Banyak artis2 seperti Erol Alkan, Justice, Busy P, MSTRKRFT dan of course Klaxons yang di lempar ke dalam movement ini. Dan kalo kita liat set mereka.. mereka memainkan semua style.  Jadi Tidaklah asing untuk mendengar set dimana kita bisa menemukan tracks dari Klaxons, Soulwax, Goose, Franz Ferdinand, SPank Rock, Erik B & Rakim, Kissy Sell Out, Justice, Lily Allen, Robbie William, The Glimmers, Cut Copy, Simian Mobile Disco, MSTRKRFT, NEw Order dll....  Kalo kita liat, tadi  artis2 yang gw sebut itu dari bermacam genre.. rock, hiphop, electro bahkan pop and more...   Jadi sebenernya new rave is not about one particular sound but it's all the sound being combine together!!!...  It's about the most open minded and forward thinking movement we've encountered in quiete a while!!!
