 AWARD WINNING SVD
He’s done it again, and if you didn’t know what we’re talking about already then you’ll need to have had your head buried in the sand for the past week. Although in the eyes of you lot, Sander made his break several years ago, recognition as Best Breakthrough Artist in the 11th Annual DJ Awards is a huge achievement and follows him scooping the award at this year’s IDMA’s.

Sander said, "I’m absolutely delighted to have won this. I was up against some pretty stiff competition and did wonder what the outcome would be. I’d like to congratulate everyone who was nominated and of course thank everyone in my team for helping me to win this".

All eyes now switch to 29th October, when the results of this year’s Top 100 are announced.

CLOSE MY EYES - UPDATE
The Sander van Doorn Vs Robbie Williams phenomenon continues this month - if you've been out recently you'll have no doubt heard 'Close My Eyes' ripping up dancefloors worldwide, and if you've tuned into the radio shows of Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Judge Jules, Ferry Corsten, Dave Pearce and Paul Van Dyk (amongst others) you'll have heard it too! This is proving to be a huge crossover hit as the weeks go by - stay tuned for more information on a global release date!

At www.robbiewilliams.com the track received well over 20,000 downloads in the space of just 2 days. That combined with downloads from Sander’s site clocks up a considerable amount of bandwidth. As mentioned above, we’ll be feeding you details of the major release date over the coming weeks.

8.800 MILES LATER…
Sander is in Australia. It’s been more than a year since he last tore up the southern hemisphere, but the wait is over folks. Sander is on a 2-week tour of Australia and New Zealand as part of the massive Godskitchen tour! In the 2 weeks he’ll take in: Auckland, Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and the Gold Coast. We’re told that the Perth date totally SOLD OUT a month in advance. If you’re keen to get your hands on tickets to the remainder then head over to www.futureentertainment.com.au/tickets.html

SPEAKING OF GODSKITCHEN
Our good friends at Godskitchen have just released a brand new triple CD entitled The Anthems 2009, and on CD3 you’ll find not one, not two but THREE of Sander’s productions, making him the most popular artist on the entire compilation. Now if that’s not commitment to the cause, then we don’t know what is.

Godskitchen –The Anthems 2009 is available from all good stores now, and of course at ITunes.

Pushing the boundaries of dance music is something that comes natural to Sander van Doorn. His relentless attitude to what he does is the core essence to his astonishing success, both as a DJ and as a world-class producer. Production after production, show after show, his reputation is one of flawless measure, and the best is still to come.

In just 4 years, and coming out of nowhere, Sander van Doorn is achieving stuff dreams are made of. Debuting in DJMag’s prestigious Top 100 poll at 32 in 2006 and then climbing 17 places to 15 in 2007 indicates the power and popularity of this man.

Sander has clocked up more miles in 12 months than most, demolishing each and every dancefloor he commands over. New residencies at Judgement Sunday in Ibiza and at the Gallery in London put two big feathers in cap, and there are a few surprises to come next year. His ethos is simple and that is to please every crowd he comes in contact with.

If you haven’t heard of Grasshopper, King of My Castle, By Any Demand and Riff then you’re probably not in tune with dance music. Every van Doorn production of 2007 has sent tidal waves through the electronic music industry with Djs from a multitude of genres slotting his work into their sets. Radio play of all four tracks was guaranteed, as were high chart positions, reaching the number one spot on more than one occasion. His remix of Sia’s ‘The Girl You Lost To Cocaine’ is the stuff classics are made of, and ‘The Bass’, the first single from Supernaturalistic is speaking for itself!

And so as 2008 gets well underway and the release of Sander’s long awaited debut long player upon us, we find ourselves wondering where next for the boy from Eindhoven who properly grew up! With a mammoth album tour to complete a massive Ibiza, plus more festivals than sense to complete – there are two things for sure. Sander van Doorn is here to stay and you’re going to be hearing and seeing a lot more of him!
