mau ngucapin selamat buat panitia REDMA yg akhirnya mengumumkan nominasi2nya,.dari hasil pemantauan dan obrol2 sana sini, gw cukup senang ngeliat kerja keras panitia yg sudah berusaha semaksimal mungkin untuk menghasilkan nominasi2 yg terbaik!!!

tentunya setiap event awarding akan mendatangkan kontroversi, karena pada akhirnya mungkin tdk dapat menyenangkan smua pihak, walaupun gw tau banget bahwa panitia sbenernya ingin membuat keputusan yg jauh dri kontroversi,..mungkin ini kl gw liat akibat perkembangan REDMA itu sndiri yg di mata masyarakat umum sudah menjadi awarding yg dtunggu orang2 banyak dan menjadi salah satu barometer tertinggi di EDM kita...

dan itu terbukti juga dengan banyaknya pelaku EDM yg sangat ingin memenangkan award ini atau sekedar ingin masuk nominasi..ini yg membuat panitia REDMA mengambil keputusan untuk melakukan sistem pemilihan yg berbeda yaitu dengan sistem 50% dari voting dan 50 % dari penjurian yg dilakukan oleh orang2 yg memang sangat mengerti seluk beluk EDM kita, semata2 untuk menjaga quality control, serta untuk menghindari omongan miring seperti : "yg terpilih yg kenal anak rvlx aja" maka dari itu panitia berusaha untuk menemukan formula yg pas buat award ini (source : hasil obrolan ringan seputar redma dgn panitia2 redma)......oia gw sngaja menempuh jalan nanya2 n ngbrl2 sama mereka semata2 untuk mencari kejelasan soal penentuan berdasarkan apakah redma tahun ini??? gw merasa lebih baik menempuh jalur kontak langsung terlebih dahulu ke pihak yg bersangkutan, daripada menanyakannya di forum..

jadi apapun keputusan yg di ambil oleh panitia harus kita hormati, karena beneran g mudah loh kl di posisi temen2 panitia REDMA! remember guys award bukan lah segalanya, menurut gw ada yg lebih penting yaitu pengakuan dari masyarakat luas yang mungkin itu juga yg membuka jalan kita untuk makin sukses di EDM kita...award hanyalah sekedar bentuk apresiasi aja kl mnurut gw,. karena banyak koq dj2 atau pelaku EDM yg ngetop dan disukai banyak orang walau dia g pernah menang award..

sekali lagi salut n respect buat semua temen2 panitia REDMA, smoga kritik, saran or apapun yg dterima oleh panita untuk kemajuan REDMA dikemudian hari,.. mari kita dukung yahhh apapun nanti hasil award tersebut with no heart feeling, berhati besar dan open minded!!! cukup senang ada temen2 yg mau repot2 bkin award untuk mengapresiasi kinerja pelaku EDM...

good luck yahhh buat smua nominator!!! masuk nominasi berarti harus siap menerima hasil akhirnya tanpa rasa kecewa n jiwa sportif yah,..begitu juga temen2 yg belom masuk nominasi smoga jangan berenti berkarya, n keep rockin our dancing scene, smoga makin termotivasi untuk lebih baik lagi, dan handal dalam memarketingkan diri sndiri :p

MARKUS SCHULZ

Markus always had a desire to meet the world and has continued to tour globally over the past few years, bringing his unique brand of progressive and melodic trance to thousands of clubbers from as far afield as Australia to Russia and as far away as China and Trinidad, that combined with criss-crossing in his own country of the USA. Markus also dominates the airwaves with his weekly radio show, Global DJ Broadcast and can be heard in over 30 stations worldwide.

His very special "Ibiza Summer Sessions" debuted in summer 2006 to rave reviews. Wanting to give the listener the feeling of being part of the Ibiza summer, Markus planned each week with the hottest music and best DJ's from the Balearic Islands. The mission was to bring Ibiza to those who couldn't be there and to add to the experience of those who were. And it worked, with new stations around the world grappling to sign the show for their listening audiences. Through his radio show, Markus was able to reach out through the airwaves and meet even more people, thus touching their lives with his music.

Markus has built himself a stellar reputation as one of the global leaders in production as well as a world renowned DJ. His own label, Coldharbour Recordings has delivered over 60 A-list releases within 3 years. His commitment to his own work as well as his peers' has seen numerous solo, collaborative and remix projects that have enabled him to boast an unrivalled discography, largely inspired by his travels and the people he has met. With his heart at the soul of every project, Markus consistently delivers hit after hit, most notably with 'Without You Near', 'Daydream', 'Perfect', and his latest chart stormer 'The New World ' - the booming trancer and theme tune to the infamous Transmission party that has clearly set the tempo for 2009 on fire!

Following phenomenal success with Miami '05, Ibiza '06 Markus continued his city inspired series to deliver us the hugely successful Amsterdam 08, which has been nominated for Best Full Length DJ Mix at this year's IDMA's taking place at the annual Winter Music Conference. The nominations don't stop there - he's also up for Best American DJ for the second year running' could this be his year? Next up, Markus continues his musical tour of the world with this year's Canadian inspired 'Toronto 09', a mind blowing belter that celebrates the community spirit within the clubbing scene of the city. 2008 saw Markus release Progression Progressed, a rare reworking of his album Progression 2007 that brought together a collection of interpretations by some of the most talented producers on offer including: Mat Zo, Nic Chagall, Mark Otten and Monogato, as well as an inspired collection of remixes and new tracks from Markus himself. Toronto '09 gives Markus the opportunity to bring his experiences from his tours and inspiration from his audiences to all fans worldwide with his unique stamp on things.

NORIN and RAD

Bruce Karlsson and Nick Sember both had strong interests in music at very young ages. Bruce's beginning with computers and programs led him to outline the producer he's become today. He began working with computers at a very young age mastering everything there is to know, inside and out. About 2004, he got his first musical production program "Fruity Loops" and from that point on he realized what he was going to do in life. Bruce had always loved electronic dance music since he was a kid and now that he has his chance he decided he was going to start making his own EDM. After he outgrew all the things "Fruity Loops" had to offer, he knew it was time to step up. After obtaining "Reason" the heavy beats began to flow and Bruce knew that he had something.

Nick's beginning was slightly different. His musical background began with rock, punk, and hardcore music due to his young obsession with playing the guitar. After learning the guitar, with help from his father, he taught himself to play the bass, drums, and keyboard. Nick was introduced to hip-hop in middle school and this caught his attention more than any of the music he had heard. As soon as he could afford it, he got his first set of vinyl turntables and his DJ career began. He began to mix hip-hop but the true creativity came when he was given his first trance record. He put mixes together and realized how much he loved the cleanliness of the transitions. He was hooked on EDM from that point on.

It was no surprise that when the two met in 2007 that they had clicked instantly. After a few outings together, the talk of collaborating began. It was shortly after this that the Norin & Rad project began. It took no time at all for the two to start producing tracks to pump the floors full of energy. After "Of the Sun" was played on Markus Schulz's Global DJ Broadcast radio show, the duo knew that they were on to bigger and better things.

In June of 2009, the boys hooked up with Johnny from LMD. It did not take long for the public to realize the intensity Norin & Rad brought, not just from the studio but with their DJ sets as well! Opening for some of the biggest names in trance music today such as Andy Moor, Roger Shah, Aly & Fila, Eddie Halliwell, Marcus Schossow, Marco V, Blank & Jones, John O'Callaghan, Kyau & Albert, Lange, Cosmic Gate, Stoneface & Terminal and M.I.K.E. to name a few. They also got to do a set with trance vocalist Aruna.

With 2010 bringing a new year, Norin & Rad have brought a whole new style. Signed with Coldharbour, their first single, "Always A New Day", is turning heads. It has even caught a spot on Markus Schulz's new Las Vegas '10 compilation! With new tracks on the rise and some real energetic sets, this duo definitely is an up and coming force in the trance world.
