yes i do believe that a lil' knowledge on musical basics goes a long way in producing music...
like it or not but understanding these seemingly (note seemingly) difficult mumbo jumbo of notation, rhytmical values, time signatures (blah blah blah) will infuse magic to your tracks.....

i don't think you need to be a virtuoso of an instrument to be a solid dance music producers (in fact you don't even need to be an "average" player), as the wonders of MIDI these days will let you cheat like you've never imagined before (voila mon ami, you're a maestro piano player in one night).....

however being capable of playing an instrument will  help you extremely along the way, take BT for example, and Moby as well....mate these guys kick arse !!!! hehehe...

i'm fat, eat'a'lot, and sleep most of the time....
but hey nothing wakes me up faster than the sound of those bangin kicks, arse movin basslines, and finger ticklin melodies..........

well to the point then.....somehow i'm appointed moderator of this here part of the forum......
so i guess i'm suppose to moderate (whatever that means ??).....
eh um...well arh urh um......crikey....well anyways i'm here to share with you guys anything about producing music (read: dance music).....

i'm not the guru of music production....but i do know a bit of this and that and i will gladly share it with u.....and for those production guru's out there please don't hesitate to share with us..... your tome of knowledge would be much appreciated, nothing me loves better than sleepin, eatin, and doddlin with dance music production......

so nuff said boys and gals lets get down to business....
me only hav 1 rule here....PLUR pleaze....no swearin, dissin, badmouthin and the gang, i will be strict with those types of gothic arses who loves badmouthin so much....
helpful critics will be very valuable however badmouthin is not an option...

we are here to share and learn from each other so lets keep it comfy mates, shall we??
