The TRAKTOR KONTROL F1 hardware is optimized to provide dedicated hands-on control of an entire Remix Deck™ with access to the 64 loops and samples which can be loaded, arranged and mixed via the hardware.

The pads in the bottom third of the controller trigger 16 loops or samples. You can load up to 64 audio clips into a Remix Deck – use the rotary encoder to page between groups of 16. Communication with the software works seamlessly both ways – change the color of a pad via the hardware and the software will follow suit instantly and vice versa – so you can always see exactly what`s going on.

Here's a brief rundown of the controller hardware and its different, intuitively laid-out sections.

TRAKTOR KONTROL X1 features a total of 30 buttons, 4 push encoders and 8 knobs arranged in the following sections:

1. EFFECTS SECTION
8 high resolution potentiometers and 8 buttons make up the effect section of TRAKTOR KONTROL X1. This section allows control of all the parameters of 2 TRAKTOR effect units simultaneously. In Chained mode, this means simultaneous control over 3 effects per deck. The effects section buttons are programmed to give direct access to 3 of your favorite effect presets.

2. BROWSE SECTION
One push encoder per deck is dedicated to browsing through play lists and loading tracks. Simply turn the push encoder to find the track you want, and push it to load it into the corresponding deck. Once the track is loaded the same encoders seek through the track, using tempo sync`d beat jumps to remain in time.

3. LOOP SECTION
This section allows for intuitive control of TRAKTOR`s loop function, giving clear visual feedback about the loop status via LEDs. The section offers first level access to auto loops and manual loops as well as loop editing functions such as loop size and loop position, both coarse and fine.

4. TRANSPORT SECTION
This section provides direct access to basic playback controls as well as shifted access to 8 secondary functions for each deck. All buttons for industry standard workflows (Play, Sync, Cue + Cup) are located here. Switch to hotcue mode and you get another 16 buttons for controlling the 8 hot cues or hot loops per track. Plus, the CUP button flashes in time with the deck`s BPM as an added visual mix aid.

Terminal Mix 2 disposes of an integrated 2-channel mixer that besides 3-fold EQ with intelligent kill technique also offers gain and filter modulation per channel. The crossfader curve can be adjusted comfortably on the device`s front side.

In addition to the popular Trax Encoder, the master section is now equipped with four convenient management buttons which allow direct access to playlists, crates or further layout views without the need to touch your laptop. This means a desired track can be located and loaded instantly into any deck via the designated load buttons - a fader start function can also be activated if desired.

Depending on the software used, other creative possibilities are available, for example the option of accessing hot cues/samples 5-8 on the second layer - or with future software updates this section can be enhanced even further with brand new performance modes (Cut`n`Slice) for live remixing.

Novation Dicer: cue-point, looping and FX control for Digital DJs:
This palm-sized cue point and looping controller has been designed to fit exactly where you need it: on your turntables, CDJs, mixer or laptop. Dicer always ships in pairs - one for each side.
Dicer works with almost any DJ software and it is optimised for use with:

A pair of Dicer gives you a total of 60 buttons:
Dicer can trigger samples, cue-points, loops and FX. You can use Dicer to browse through playlists, nudge tracks backwards and forwards or it can be freely assigned to whatever functions you want. Coloured LEDs behind each button tell you what mode you are in.

The HDJ2000`s 50 mm driver units and high-flux magnets create outstanding resolution, from bass to treble, and are ideal for studio applications.

The HDJ2000 have the capacity for 3,500 mW of input, which means distortion is prevented, even at sustained loud volumes. The heavy-duty build of these headphones ensures zero resonance.

Sporting a rugged but lightweight magnesium swivel/fold mechanism the headphones are robust, comfortable and compact to transport. Each ear-cup gives excellent insulation and swivels a full 90 degrees using a new i-hinge with auto-return, which presents great flexibility, especially for DJs who prefer the 'on-shoulder` method of monitoring.

To improve monitoring, there is also a convenient stereo/mono switch.

Refined Design

The HDJ-500 DJ headphones adapt the styling and performance cues of Pioneer`s top-of-the-line HDJ-2000 headphones. Designed with maximum comfort and reliability in mind, the HDJ-500 headphones use comfortable urethane pads for the ears that allow the headphones to mold around the user`s head and ears for a snug and slip-resistant fit. Furthermore, the urethane pads are wrapped in great quality leather, providing greater feel and extended comfort. The main structure of the headphones is crafted of magnesium alloy for light weight and durability, making them great for travel and long periods of use.

The Sound Difference

The HDJ-500`s stylish design is matched with great sound quality providing clear audio reproduction, especially in the critical low and mid frequency ranges that are key for remixing. By combining 40 mm diameter drivers, thick 19 µm (micrometers) diaphragm and a copper clad aluminum wire (CCAW) voice coil, the headphones can efficiently reproduce the lower frequency audio range. Snare and kick drum sounds are more clear making it easier for even the most novice DJs to match the tempo of tracks.

Versatility

For maximum flexibility during performances, the HDJ-500 features a rotating arm structure that allows the user to rotate the right earpiece forward and back by as much as 60 degrees. At that position, the flexible headband maintains enough side pressure to allow the DJ to listen to audio on just one side of the headphones.

The headphones include two interchangeable cords providing freedom of movement during performances. The traditional 1.2 meter coiled cord (extends to 3m) is perfect for regular DJ performances, while the 1 meter straight cord is ideal for leisure listening.

It's in the Sound
The high-quality components incorporated into the HDJ-1500 headphones deliver perfectly balanced sound across the entire frequency spectrum. The combination of large 50mm drivers, copper-clad aluminum wire (CCAW) voice coils, rare-earth magnets and 38μm-thick diaphragms, significantly improve control of the drivers and produce better bass response. Users will hear pronounced vocals, hard hitting kick drums and snappy snare drums that make matching tempos between tracks effortless.

The newly developed design also greatly reduces background noise. Pioneer has created an innovative sound-isolation chamber as part of its bass reflex port that isolates low and mid frequencies in the 300 Hz to 1,300 Hz by as much as 4 decibels from the previous Pioneer model, resulting in cleaner, better defined mid bass/mid range sounds.

Defined by Design
The HDJ-1500 exemplifies the look and feel of pro-style headphones designed with large over-the-ears cups that not only look sleek but also contribute to their excellent performance. The model incorporates ultra-comfortable narrow low-resilience urethane memory foam ear pads to create a tight seal around the ears and significantly reduce external sounds. The urethane memory pads are also finished in durable leather for great feel and extended comfort. For additional convenience and DJ preference, the included ear pads can also be replaced with Pioneer's optional HDJ-EP01s open-cup protein leather ear pads which sit around the ears.

The HDJ-1500 features a moving headband and hinges composed of rugged yet lightweight magnesium alloy to withstand the rigors of extended professional use. Each earpiece swivels up to 45 degrees and can be flipped around 180 degrees for one ear listening. Furthermore, the included single-sided cable is detachable and can easily be replaced if damaged.

The headphones also include a compact carrying pouch for protection and convenience. For DJs who want extra headphone protection, Pioneer offers the optional HDJ-HC01 lightweight carrying case.
