For the past 4 years TV ROCK have set the benchmark in Australia for dance music, selling over 250,000 singles and picking up 2 ARIA awards in the process. Their debut single 'Flaunt It' spent the longest time in Australian chart history inside the top 10 beating Silverchair for the honour. Their singles have also appeared on over 2,000,000 compilations sold around the world.

TV ROCK is made up by dance heavyweights Grant Smillie and Ivan Gough. In recent months in addition to destroying dancefloors in Australia and Asia the TV ROCKERS have played to millions closing the Australian MTV Music Awards and travelling the world playing gigs.

The TV ROCK team have been hectic in the studio working on new tunes- their most recent offereing 'Been A Long Time' feat Rudy picked up by Axwell's label 'Axtone' with the label Don lending his hand to a remix in addition to the Laidback Luke mix that was smashed by David Guetta, Pete Tong, Erick Morillo and Roger Sanchez to name but a few.

The next TV ROCK single 'Happiness' is due out October 2008 with hot remixes from Nari & Milani and Eddie Thoneik. The boys remixing duties in previous months include Depeche Mode, Laidback Luke, The DONS & Tom Stephan to name but a few with a host of new mixes dropping in late 2008. Good friends with Dirty South, the guys are back in the studio together in November and also are currently collaborating with Rudy again for a follow up to 'Been A Long Time'.

TV ROCK have held 8 1 positions for their remixes on the Australian dance charts, had an essential new tune and multiple plays on Pete Tong's Essential Selection and radio plays throughout Europe and the US. After rocking the great Southern land, TV ROCK recently headed to Europe again to continue to spread the word. There they collaborated with Dave Spoon and Laidback Luke- A new tune to look out for early 09 with Luke is on the way. The TV ROCKERS record label recently had the 1 beatport position for Finally and there is more coming from the label perspective.- It's no wonder TV ROCK were listed as ones to watch in 2008 by iDJ Mag and Mixmag this year.

Grammy nominated artist and globally acclaimed DJ and Producer Paul van Dyk continues to dominate the electronic music charts and appears at the pinnacle of every Top DJ list across the globe. PvD, as his fans have nicknamed him, has been ranked the World's No. 1 DJ by DJ Magazine's "Top 100 DJs poll" for two consecutive years. His fifth original album In Between was released August 2007 and features collaborations with David Byrne and Jessica Sutta of the Pussycat Dolls.

PvD is renowned as one of the hardest working artists, with sold-out tours that cross each continent, headline spots at every major festival, and a hugely successful recording career. With over 3,5 million albums sold worldwide, van Dyk travels around the world over 16 times each year to sold out performances internationally. 2007 alone has brought us PvD remixes of Depeche Mode's "Martyr", Britney Spears' ,,Gimmy more" and Justin Timberlake's "What Goes Around.... Comes Around". In 2008 he collaborated amongst others with Peter Heppner, The Wombats and did Remixes on ,,The Dark Night" movie soundtrack by Hans Zimmer, ,,Mirror's Edge", the video game by EA Games and has compiled and mixed the annual Cream Ibiza Compilation.

PvD received a Grammy nomination in 2005 for Best Dance/Electronic Album for his original album Reflections – this marked the first time NARAS recognized this category. His original productions from Reflections have been synced into major motion pictures such as "Into the Blue", "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants", television's "Entertainment Tonight" and MTV's "Cribs", and international ad campaigns for Motorola, HBO, Land Rover, Ski Vail and most recently for Jeep.
In 2008 Paul won 3 International Dance Music Awards (IDMA) for his tracks ,,Let Go" and ,,White Lies" from his Album In Between: Best Alternative/Rock Dance Track, Best HiNRG/Euro Track and Best Progressive House/Trance Track. In 2007 he got an IDMA for Best Euro DJ and got four IDMAs in 2006: Best Global DJ, Best NuNRG/Euro Track, Best Producer and Best Mix Compilation for The Politics of Dancing 2. In addition, PvD was voted "America's Favorite DJ" for 2004 and 2005 by BPM Magazine and was the big winner at the 2004 Dancestar Awards, taking home 3 awards: Best International DJ, Best Event and Best Music in a Commercial (Motorola). He also won the Mexican Oscar for his soundtrack in the film Zurdo in March 2004. Paul van Dyk was voted "Best Music Maker" by DJ Magazine, received the "Best International DJ Award" at the 1999 Music Awards in London, was named "Best International DJ" by Ministry of Sound Magazine, and Mixmag elected him as "Man of the Year".

Aside from his musical activity, Paul van Dyk has always dedicated a significant part of his life to politics and social justice: from his youth, when he fled over the Berlin Wall to the West, to his children's charity in India's Mumbai, and his partnership scheme with the German Red Cross to help disadvantaged children in Berlin. In 2004, PvD was the only electronic artist involved in a nationwide tour with the "Rock The Vote" campaign, where he joined the likes of Bono, P Diddy, the Black Eyed Peas and George Clinton in campaigning for America's youth to sign up to vote in the presidential election. In 2006 he received Berlin's Medal of Honor (Landesverdienstorden) in recognition of his work with Ruckenwind, a charity organization he founded dedicated to helping disadvantaged children in Berlin. He joins a distinguished list of arts and political establishment figures with this honor.

Born in Eisenhuettenstadt, East Germany, Paul van Dyk grew up in communist East Berlin. Because his community did not have a true club culture, Paul van Dyk listened to the radio where he discovered his passion for music that extended beyond Techno music – he wanted to create a different, more unique sound. In the early 1990s Paul van Dyk was spinning regularly at various clubs in Berlin before releasing his first album 45 RPM in 1994. But it wasn't until the release of his second album Seven Ways which catapulted him into the Top 100, followed by the release of his hit single "For An Angel," which began to earn him praise across the globe. By the time Paul van Dyk released Out There & Back in 2000, it became clear that the Berlin-based musician had far more to offer than his signature club sets and remixes that had already defined him as one of the most influential DJs and producers of all time. His first compilation mix CD Politics of Dancing was released in 2001, followed by Global in 2003 – a DVD which illustrates his own experiences traveling the world.

Paul van Dyk created the radio station VONYC Sessions focused on the electronic dance scene and broadcasting weekly radio shows on FM stations all around the globe. He runs the independent label VANDIT Records with digital sub imprint and artist management which is going to celebrate his 10th anniversary.

Paul van Dyk's touring diary remains incredibly hectic with regular globetrotting stops at major venues across the globe from New York, London, Ibiza to India, China and Singapore. On New Year's Eve 2008/2009 he played in front of an impressive audience of 1,5 Million people in Rio de Janeiro.

February 2009 saw van Dyk performing a unique collaboration with double Grammy winner and master conductor Paavo Järvi for the Music Discovery Project of internationally renown HR Symphony Orchestra. At Frankfurt..s Jahrhunderthalle, the electronic music artist and Paavo Järvi experimented with the music styles of far away galaxies. Both interpreted "The Planets" by Gustav Holst, the mighty orchestra suite with it..s powerful sound which even fans of "Star Trek", Star Wars" and "The Simpsons" could encounter.

In the little time remaining between all the travel, Paul van Dyk hosts his own radio show "Paul van Dyk's VONYC Sessions" which airs weekly on radio stations all around the world to millions of listeners!

Production is now as big a passion as DJing, and past releases include original productions for Toolroom, Little Mountain and Data, plus remixes of Underworld, Josh Wink, D Ramirez & Mark Knight, Sebastien Leger & Deadmau5.

Paul is no stranger to major events, having played for major dance festivals all over the world, and 2008 saw him return to play for the worlds biggest dance festival,Global Gathering, in the UK, Russia, Ukraine, Poland & Belarus. During 2008 his extensive tour schedule also took him to USA, South America, Asia and all over Europe.

Paul's rigorous studio schedule for 2008 was hugely successful, with critically acclaimed remixes of Da Hool's 'Meet Her At The Love Parade' (Data Records), Josh Wink's 'Higher State' (Strictly), Deadmau5's 'Not Exactly' and Sebastien Leger 'Bad Clock' being some of the highlights. Everyone from Sasha to Pete Tong & Dubfire to Steve Angello has been supporting his music, with no fewer than 6 tracks being played on Radio 1 last year alone, including the huge club anthem Mark Knight & Funkagenda vs Paul Thomas – Arena, which went top 10 on Beatport and topped the charts on DJDownload & Trackitdown. His first Godskitchen Underground mix ablum was released in May 2008 and received excellent reviews in all major dance magazines.

2009 will be a extremely busy year in both the studio and on tour. Tipped by many to be the next big thing in house music, Paul has a raft of new releases on the way. His brand new big room banger 'Rizer' is to be released on Toolroom after Mark Knight proclaimed it as his biggest tune of ADE. Other releases on the way in 2009 include some of the scenes biggest labels: Toolroom, Global Underground, Positiva, Xtravaganza, Little Mountain & Baroque. With remixes forthcoming for Sander Kleinenberg, Chicane & Toolroom plus collaborations with Funkagenda, Richard Dinsdale & Jerome Isma-ae, Paul Thomas is making more waves the most in the scene.

Over the last decade and a half few individuals could claim the type behind-the-scenes influence on American dance culture as Jimmy Van M. From his development of the booking agency known as Balance (now known as TCA), to his pivotal role in the formation of the Delta Heavy tour, his tireless efforts can be credited with having helped advance electronic dance music throughout the United States, opening avenues for artistic expression in dance-clubs that did not previously exist before him and his very unique efforts.

The Northern Exposure American Tour 1996, Twilo resident 1996-2000 and Delta Heavy 2001 is to name just a few of the residency or tour events that he has participated in as an artist... Global Gathering 2004, the 25,000 person NYE Millennium in Melbourne, Australia, the first ever Creamfields Russia as well as Creamfields Buenos Aires with 55,000 people in attendance would make up the short-list of some of the most important one-off performance events to ever happen globally within electronic dance music that he has also performed in.

Jimmy Van M has built a reputation on being among the most patient and sophisticated DJs to be found globally...from his opening sets to his peak-time club sessions and all the way through to the after-hours parties that he's become so famous for. His ability to deliver music ranging from the deepest of early morning sessions to the most banging and driving peak-hour main-room affairs has placed him in seemingly unlimited and ever-delightful company throughout the world. It remains as one of the most distinguishing features of this very urbane and global performer that, for him, the music must move and then move on. When it comes to atmosphere, vibe and drive there are very few DJs that can stand alongside Jimmy Van M. Whether it's putting together a cross-country tour, programming innovative and forward thinking dance music or DJing to thunderous masses anywhere from Buenos Aires to Tokyo he is one of the most characteristic performers to be found anywhere.

But this tells only part of the story. It was Jimmy's formative years at his house in Orlando, Florida where things really fell together for him as a DJ. To list all of the artists who played at his house in those early years would be to index the most famous and notorious dj's globally, as well as hordes of friends that just came by with a bag of new records. For years and years the only residency that interested Jimmy, or most any other dj on any given Sunday, was his home address. These after-parties still get mentioned and name-checked by most anybody that happened to come through town on a whirlwind tour of his cul-de-sac. It was here that Jimmy really developed his very patterned style of playing, layering endlessly characteristic and suggestive tracks for anybody that happened to stop by. These unending Sundays resulted in one of the most artful and layered mixing styles to be found anywhere. From those humble beginnings he took that playing style and his taste for ever-changing and advanced styles of dance music from that notorious little neighborhood to the far reaches of the globe.

kalo menurut gw sih, idea is brilliant, berarti indo akan bangun infrastruktur seprti stadion, jalanan, monorail, dll.
well dapet ngak dapet urusan blakangan yang penting niatnya. hopefully sih infrastruktur tetep di jalanin biarpun ngak jadi tuan rumah. Katanya sih untuk support visit indonesia year 2020.

Salah satu syarat utama sebuah negara mengajukan diri sebagai calon tuan rumah Piala Dunia adalah sanggup menyediakan stadion berstandar sangat tinggi versi FIFA. Punyakah Indonesia?

FIFA punya aturan bahwa untuk menghajat Piala Dunia, stadion yang digunakan minimal berkapasitas 40 ribu tempat duduk. Khusus untuk laga pembukaan dan final, stadion itu harus bisa menampung sedikitnya 80 ribu penonton.

Itu baru dalam hal kapasitas, belum termasuk sarana dan fasilitas penunjang yang lain,mulai dari rumput, dressing room, shower room, sampai hal-hal lain di luar stadion seperti transportasi dan lain-lain.

Di Eropa, misalnya, sebagaimana diketahui sangat rapi dalam hal kemudahan akses calon penonton buat ke stadion sehingga tidak menimbulkan macet di hari pertandingan, juga sistem parkir yang bagus dan lain-lain.

Maka ketika PSSI mengajukan proposal pencalonan diri sebagai tuan rumah Piala Dunia 2018 atau 2022, stadion adalah salah satu masalah terbesar yang sangat gampang dipertanyakan. Siapkah Indonesia menyediakan minimal delapan stadion berstandar FIFA?

Menteri Negara Pemuda dan Olahraga Adhyaksa Dault mengutarakan keyakinannya. "Harap dicatat, stadion bagus di Indonesia itu bukan cuma Gelora Bung Karno," ujarnya dalam wawancara dengan detiksport, Kamis (29/1/2009).

Ia lalu menyebut beberapa stadion lain yang sudah berdiri sesuai standar internasional, yakni Gelora Sriwijaya di Jakabaring, Sumatera Selatan, dan Stadion Palaran, yang tahun lalu dipakai untuk PON XVII di Samarinda.

"Juga kita akan punya stadion bagus lain di Gede Bage (Bandung), Tenggarong (Kutai Kertanegara), dan Banten. Saya rasa kita bisa (menggelar Piala Dunia). Dan untuk menyempurnakannya kita masih punya banyak waktu," tukas Menteri.

Ia lalu menyebut contoh Piala Asia 2007 di Jakarta. Presiden AFC Mohamed bin Hammam dikatakan Adhyaksa akhirnya merasa puas dengan GBK yang dalam waktu satu tahun bisa memenuhi standar yang ditetapkan badan sepakbola tertinggi di Asia itu.

Satu hal yang ingin ditekankan Adhyaksa terkait pencalonan Indonesia sebagai tuan rumah Piala Dunia adalah pengalaman.

"Selama saya jadi menteri, kita bisa menggelar A1GP dua kali (di Sentul), satu kali GP2 Asia, Piala Asia (2007), dan bikin sirkuit (jalanan) di Lippo Karawaci. Artinya, kita bisa kok menyelenggarakan event-event internasional," pungkas Adhyaksa.
