Justice will follow up their 2007 debut album with the rockier Audio, Video, Disco, due out in October.

Straying somewhat from their synth-laden dance roots, the next full-length effort from Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Augé sees the pair move closer towards progressive rock and pop territories with an album composed of instrumentation performed entirely by the outfit. According to an interview with Pitchfork it was important for Audio, Video, Disco to foster a "laid-back and homemade" aesthetic, with the pair labouring over not just recording it "bit by bit" themselves, but actually learning all the instruments featured on the record as well.

The album also supports a number of vocal guests including UK pop singer Ali Love, who co-wrote "Civilization," which was released as a single back in April. Morgan Phalen of NY rockers Diamond Nights and Vincenzi Vendetta of Australian band Midnight Juggernauts also feature.

Tiefschwarz have mixed Watergate 09, due out on October 31st.

The brothers Schwarz (Ali and Basti) are longtime staples of Berlin's club scene. Given the number of times they've played at Watergate over the years, they seem a natural choice for the club's mix series, which has previously featured artists like Sascha Funke, dOP and Lee Jones. Their sound is usually sleek, contemporary tech house, but Watergate 09 shows they have a soft spot for old classics as well, with cuts from Defected, Trax and KMS fit in alongside the likes of Nicolas Jaar and Julio Bashmore. The mix also includes a previously unreleased Tiefschwarz production, "Corporate Butcher," with vocals from Mama.

Dave Clarke has mixed fabric 60, due for release in October.

Clarke, once dubbed "the Baron of techno" by the BBC's John Peel, has long specialized in the darkest and toughest strains of club music, from his breakthrough Red Series 12-inches in the '90s to his DJ sets around world today. fabric 60 shows him running at full tilt. "I wanted to have a gothic and bass heavy start that represented the sonic characteristics that Room 2 is capable of handling," he says. "It's all pretty dark though and I think it represents the edgier side of club music that you only get to hear in clubs that care." Rather than looking back on old favourites, Clarke sticks mostly to records from the past two or three years. Though techno is the order of the day, he also finds a place for one of his other fetishes: electro. "Fabric is one place that can truly appreciate that."

Release Note:

Dave Seaman has mixed another edition of The Masters Series for Renaissance, due for release at the end of this month.

The Masters Series has been a Renaissance fixture for over a decade, and no artist (except maybe Hernan Cattaneo) has played a bigger role in it than Seaman: he mixed The Masters Series Part One in 2000, and has delivered no fewer than four editions of since then, including Part 14, which just came out two years ago. The upcoming mix showcases Seaman's cinematic big room style, with selections from Moonbeam, Christian Smith and Boys Noize's upcoming tune on Cocoon. It will be the first edition of The Masters Series to come out since Renaissance went into administration in 2010. The launch party, taking place at Village Underground on November 4th, will be the label's first event in London in a year.

In putting together the two disc mix, Troxler says he imagined himself as "a scientist working in some secret base off the cost of Myanmar... when night talk with spider monkeys has just gone too far, what do you do, what's there left to do?" Whatever that means, the tracklist reflects a colorful blend of functional club tunes (Daze Maxim's "Tomorrow Universe," Exercise One's "Prowl") and more sensitive sleections (Soul Capsule's "Lady Science," Lawrence's remix of Dntel's "Dreams"), with an extra dose of Dinky. Martyn has revealed details for his second album, Ghost People.

Due for release in October, the record will come out on Brainfeeder, the LA-based label run by Flying Lotus. According to Martyn himself, it's a less intimate affair than his first LP, Great Lengths, which he describes as "very personal."

"A lot of the music and the themes behind [Great Lengths] were taken out of my daily life: my sorrows and my melancholy," he says. "For this album, I chose things that are further away from me: the Ghost People theme. There are references to DJing in general. Not the jet-set DJ life, but the old Paradise Garage DJ life, where people want to share and play the music they really love, regardless of if it's trendy. Nothing fancy or flashy. Just back to the roots."

Stylistically, the album continues on the same tack as Martyn's past releases, weaving between dubstep, funky, house and techno. It shows him teaming up once again with Erosie, the go-to visual artist for Martyn's label, 3024 (not to mention RA's recent X party in Sao Paulo). In addition to the cover art, Erosie has devised visuals to accompany Martyn's upcoming live sets, dates for which have yet to be confirmed.

The album will be preceded by a 12-inch, Masks / Viper, due out on Brainfeeder next Monday. A guest appearance comes from one of bass music's favorite vocalists, Spaceape.

Organized in chronological order, from birth to butcher, his latest found-sound experiment is built around the life cycle of a farm pig. The album becomes more conventionally musical as it unfurls — from field recording to paranoid sample symphony to acoustic dirge. Through death, song is born; through song, life endures. PETA is already protesting, but they're missing the point. Herbert shows uncommon sensitivity toward this animal raised for slaughter. He's immortalized it in sound. Matthew Herbert is ready to unveil his eagerly awaited One Pig: an album made from recordings taken during the birth, life, butchery and consumption of a single pig, reared for meat at a farm in England.

Some three years in the making, it's the final part in the artist's One trilogy, which began with unadorned singer/songwriter album One One, and continued with One Club, which was composed entirely from field recordings made at the Robert-Johnson techno club in Frankfurt.

The album "aims to listen in on a single farm animal's life in the context of an otherwise-anonymous food chain." Despite his good intentions, PETA last year accused Herbert of trying to make entertainment out of animal cruelty, and there is currently a Facebook campaign attempting to prevent One Pig's release.

Assuming it's not met with any more serious obstruction, One Pig will be issued through Herbert's own Accidental Records on October 10. A live version will be premiered in September at the Royal Opera House, as part of Mike Figgis's Just Tell The Truth festival, and there will be a "full album launch" in early October as well.

The Night Slugs label confirmed its place at the forefront of the UK club scene with last year's 'Night Slugs Allstars' compilation. It was a blue plaque on the wall of bass and beats; the culmination of deserved blog platitudes, ecstatic live sets and sold out 12"s.

As co-founder of the label, L-Vis 1990 (James Connolly) has not only been instrumental in its success but also made a name himself with his solo output on Night Slugs and Diplo's Mad Decent label.

Connolly follows on from the collective achievement of the 'Allstars' compilation with the more individual vision of his debut album. Although the 15 tracks can comfortably be described as having a Night Slugs sound they are definitely one man's 'Neon Dreams'.

The record is an effortlessly stylish amalgamation of influences and styles, there are pared down rave chords over a house beat, a touch of '80s pop and occasionally something darker lurking in the background, perhaps gleaned from dubstep.

The grandiose spoken word intro on 'Vague Flashes' lets you know that this is not just a collection of L-Vis tracks but a carefully constructed and cohesive piece of work. Of course, many would work on their own as dance-floor fillers in a club but the album flows so well it is a treat to listen to as a whole.

The tropical house of 'Forever You' may sound familiar as it was previously released a year ago but apart from that everything else here is brand new. Including the wonderful melancholy of 'The Beach' with its deep woozy bass and light-touch, pensive electronics. Having clear vocals with verses on a number of tracks is a nice touch; it's engaging and recalls a trend in dance music that has been glossed over by many contemporary producers.

One or two of the more functional electro-house numbers could be cut to make this a more lean dream. But complaining about having too much music in one place does seem a bit silly, especially as there are no real duds on the record.

Some followers of Connolly might have been hoping for the inclusion of a standout club anthem. The closest thing to that is closer and title track 'Neon Dreams', which reprises the stuttering air-horn and fairy tale piano lines of 'Vague Flashes' and adds perfect drops, a rising bass buzz and ripples of 8-bit. It is quite a statement, but not a pure dance 12".

And that is what this album is about. It feels like Connolly has distilled his influences, personality and record collection into something new and vital. And the end product is almost perfect.

Modeselektor have announced details for their next album, Monkeytown.

The German duo are known for their goofy charisma and eclectic production style, and from the looks of it, Monkeytown stays true to form on both fronts. The LP features 10 new tracks, most of which feature guest appearances. Past collaborator and Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke appears twice, and Moderat member Sascha Ring (better known as Apparat) plays guitar on the final track. Left-field hip-hop artists Busdriver and Antipop Consortium lend their vocal talents on "Pretentious Friends" and "Humanized," respectively. Warp outfit PVT (formerly known as Pivot) make an appearance as well.

The record will be Modeselektor's third artist album yet, after Hello Mom! and Happy Birthday. Both of those came out on BPitch Control; Monkeytown will be released through Modeselektor's own label.

Radiohead's TKOL RMX 1234567 remix album will drop this month in Japan and next October in the UK.

After much online speculation it has been confirmed that the 19-track release will be put out this autumn. The album will collate this summer's series of 12-inch single mixes by the likes of Four Tet, Caribou and Pearson Sound, with un-released mixes from long-time Thom Yoke collaborators Modeselektor, Shed and Jamie xx, as well as up-and-coming UK producers Blawan and Objekt.

The tracks are in chronological order by vinyl release date; the first disc largely features the mixes already made available on limited edition vinyl, such as those by Nathan Fake, Lone and Jacques Greene. The second disc will feature the previously announced efforts, including versions by Thriller, AKA Actress, SBTRKT and Illum Sphere. The most popular selection from Radiohead's eight-track LP of February 2011 is "Bloom" which is remixed five times on the compilation.

Space Cadet is a 132-page graphic novel drawn entirely on etchboards. It is accompanied by a "still picture score" of music composed and recorded by Kid Koala. This charming story of an adventurous space cadet and her guardian robot touches on the relationship between technology and isolation, and celebrates the idea of connectivity through family and the cycles that build generations. A tomorrow-days lullaby about finding your place in the universe, the use of etchboards have given Koala's trademark pathos-drenched tales of love and loneliness a whole new depth and beauty. The music, meanwhile, matches this mood. Built up from the Kid's own piano playing, which sounds like a speakeasy pianist playing Satie when the punters have staggered home, Koala has added strings, horns, marimba and subtle use of his core instrument, the turntables. The results are scintillating, a suite of music that certainly reflects the moods and themes of the book, but which bear repeated listening in their own right.

The new record comes just after a milestone in Ladytron's career: earlier this year they released a greatest hits compilation, Best Of 00-10. By now the four piece synthpop outfit have been around for more than 12 years, and in that time have released five albums and just as many compilations. Though they've matured past the deadpan electro of earlier albums like 604, they've held onto their hook-heavy and slightly retro style, as "White Elephants," the new album's first single, makes clear (you can hear a stream of that one right now on Soundcloud). Gravity the Seducer features all new tracks from the UK-based group, aside from "Ace of Hz," which came out earlier this year. As with their past few releases, the album will come out on Nettwerk.

Here's a brief rundown of Norwegian outfit Casiokids' career since the summer of 2010: release singles compilation with Polyvinyl, win talent grant from fellow countrymen a-ha, win said grant, open for a-ha on their farewell tour, tour on your own in North America for a week between festival appearances, tour with StarFCUKer, get nominated for a Spellemann Award, find time to record a follow-up.

That should bring you up to date, if you were previously unaware of Casiokids.  And now we find ourselves with the first single from that album, entitled Aabenbaringen over aaskammen ('The Revelation over the Mountain").  "Det haster!" (It's urgent!) might not be in a language I can understand, but it's still just as catchy, even though I can't sing along with any clarity.

True to the band's name, "Det haster!" is a poppy electronic gem, with looping beats that sound like they were generated from the Casiotone you had when you were younger.  But trust us: you probably couldn't do something that sounded this good.

New Yorks Penguin Prison, aka Chris Glover, is the latest in a long
line of funky electro-pop pretenders to spring forth from the Big
Apple. Heavily indebted to the creative spirit of both Prince and some
of his home towns most revered names (David Byrne, James Murphy),
Penguin Prison is a fun-filled ride, rammed full of infectious
floor-fillers.

Glover was originally inspired to pursue his disco
direction after laying down Golden Train, one of the records key
cuts. Its polished production combines minimalist electronica with a
slick vocal performance that strongly evokes early Michael Jackson. The
single Fair Warning is rooted in Eighties synth-pop, while the
feel-good Multi-Millionaire displays all the swagger of one Prince
Rogers Nelson. Maybe its not the worlds most original creation, but
its certainly an enjoyable one.

This September, Crosstown Rebels will release Get Lost 4, mixed by label boss Damian Lazarus.

The Get Lost series began in 2006 with a mix by Lazarus and Matthew Styles, the label's then co-manager. Only two more editions came out after that (by Dinky and Jamie Jones), though the name Get Lost remained part of the Crosstown Rebels brand through their annual party in Miami, which now functions as a marathon showcase for the label's artists (this year's edition at Electric Pickle hosted more than 20 DJs and live acts). The new mix serves a similar purpose, introducing new additions like Fosky, Nitin, Amirali and Left. Art Department deliver a new track called "All Mine," and a few friends of the family appear as well, such as Dinky, Dana Ruh and Nico Purman. Ten exclusive tracks are included in total, all of which will be released on a double-vinyl companion to the mix.

Joakim will release his next album, Nothing Gold, this September through his own label, Tigersushi.

Maybe the only common thread in Joakim's career is his playful disregard for convention: on his three albums and numerous EPs, he's always flitting through eclectic genres and blending live and electronic sounds, even touring with a full band to support 2007's Monsters & Silly Songs. On Nothing Gold he homes in on a specific topic that's been weighing on him: entering the "weird place between youth and middle age."

This September, Apparat will release a new full-length called The Devil's Walk.

The album will be Apparat's first solo full-length since 2007's Walls. Since then, the Berlin-based artist has spent most of his time working with Modeselektor as Moderat, putting out an acclaimed LP in 2009 and touring the world with a visually-enhanced live show. The album first took shape last year during an extended stay in Mexico: working in a studio in the town of Sayulita, Apparat wrote much of it with the help of Fredo Noguerira and Telefon Tel Aviv member Joshua Eustis. Upon returning to Europe, he finished the album with Patrick Christensen, of the Shitkatapult group Warren Suicide. The Devil's Walk will be Apparat's debut on the seminal electronic label Mute Records.
