Gue baca twit dia bbrp waktu lalu nih, dan jujur gw baru ngeh ternyata sampe gagal doi main ya. Yang lucu, baru 2 minggu ini gue berpikir, bukan hanya dj sekelas hawtin, tp dj lokal spt kitapun sudah "sepantasnya" berlaku pro yaitu menyiapkan laptop cadangan khususnya bermain di luar kota dan kita dibayar sbg tamu. Emang tentunya agak gila dan mahal, tapi ya be pro itu penting toh. Sama aja jamannya pake cd ya selalu bawa flash disk atau harddisk eksternal sbg back up lagu.

Kalo buat gue, cukup berat dari sisi finansial kalo harus sampe bawa spare laptop kalo main di luar kota. Trik paling gampangnya: Rajin2 "bersihin" laptop, jangan jorok, laptop buat nge-DJ sebisa mungkin ya buat main musik aja. Ga usah dibuat kerjaan2 berat kaya design, bokep
Kalo gue biasanya bawa cadangan CD mp3 10 biji. Jaga-jaga kalo laptop ngadat.

Richie Hawtin had quite a weekend at Coachella. Originally scheduled to play 10:45pm – close on Saturday night, hours before his set he posted a picture on instagram showing a broken hard drive and stating "unfortunately the technology that is the foundation of my career is not playing friendly today...so...I'm not able to perform at Coachella."

Then, in a story told through twitter, the following events are a nice reminder that DJs in todays day and age are still there to help each other out and give audiences what they deserve. Cassy covered for Hawtin on Saturday, and Jamie Jones, Maya Jones Coles, and Loco Dice all gave up portions of their set so he could play on Sunday. Kudos to Richie for sticking around and making it work, and the rest for helping out!
