Product Description

Impulse is a range of professional USB/MIDI controllers. As well as a precision keyboard, drums pads and a full control surface, it comes with an updated version of Novation`s award-winning Automap control software - Automap 4 - which makes getting hands-on with your DAW/plug-ins fast and simple. Impulse also comes with Ableton Live Lite, Novation`s Bass Station synth and a Loopmasters sample pack.

Feel Galore

The ultra-responsive keyboard is semi-weighted with aftertouch so it feels like a musical instrument. Impulse enables highly expressive playing styles due to its high scan-rate. This means it sends very accurate information about your playing style to your music software, translating subtle differences in dynamics extremely effectively. You can add further character to your performance with the pitch and modulation wheels. The 8 drum pads are perfect for sketching beats and triggering samples, but they do so much more: All 8 are back-lit with multi-coloured LEDs which means they can step through arpeggiator sequences, allowing you to warp and change the pattern in real time! There is also a beat roll function, which enables you to improvise with drum patterns on the fly. In addition to this, the drum pads can be used to trigger clips in Ableton Live. They light up yellow if a clip is loaded, green if it is playing and red if it is set to record.

Stay in Control

Impulse is designed to give you full hands-on control of your music-making software. The knobs, faders and buttons give you control over your DAW`s mixer as well as plug-in instruments and effects. The included Automap control software has been designed solely to connect hardware controls to your software - even VST/AU/RTAS instruments and effects that don`t come bundled with your DAW. The large custom LCD screen shows important information about what you are controlling. Impulse has transport buttons that allow you to play, stop, record, loop and move forwards and backwards in your software.

Impulse can be USB powered from your computer or if you want to power it independently you can use a simple USB power adapter (not included). There are expression and sustain pedal inputs on the rear panel, and it has MIDI in and out ports so you can use it as a USB-MIDI interface. This means that you can control external MIDI instruments with Impulse, and you can also use it to enable your music software to trigger external MIDI instruments.

The Denon DN-MC6000 ushers in a new product category as an integrated, full blown mixer, and 'dual deck' MIDI Controller. This flagship Mixer / MIDI Controller combines a 4-channel / 8-source standalone digital mixer – featuring real time channel matrix operation – USB MIDI control and 2 x stereo in / 2 x stereo out USB audio interface. A slim tabletop design with solid steel chassis, paired with the DJ software of choice, the DN-MC6000 is a complete turnkey control solution.

The DJM-900nexus is a high performance digital mixer designed for today's professional DJ performers. An ideal combination with Pioneer's latest CDJ line of players, the DJM-900nexus offers a multitude of new features that includes a variety of onboard effects, increased sound quality, and direct PC or Mac connection to enable any DJ to perform to their utmost potential.

Multitude of Effects

The DJM-900nexus follows Pioneer's traditional control layout enabling an easy transition to the mixer. As with other Pioneer mixers, the DJM-900nexus features a variety of advanced sound effects that allow DJs to have more creative expressions while mixing their music. Three new Sound Color FX, two Beat Effects and an X-Pad control were added to the mixer to enhance the user's performance.

    Sound Color FX – The DJM-900nexus includes Space, Dub Echo and Gate/Comp in addition to Filter, Crush and Noise for its Sound Color FX. At any time with a simple twist of the knobs, DJs can quickly add their choice of audio effects bringing numerous combinations and arrangements to currently played music.
    Beat Effect – A total of 13 effects, including two new ones called Spiral and Melodic, can be added by the user at any time to the beat effects is accomplished through a selectable knob located on the right side of the mixer.
    X-Pad – A touch screen control bar that enables quick access, control, and manipulation of the thirteen built-in beat effects. With a touch and/or slide of the X-Pad control, the user can change the parameters of each effect for further creativity in performances.

Sound Quality

Part of the DJM-900nexus's design attribute is combining functionality with great sound quality. The mixer utilizes high quality components that ensure the best possible audio output when connected to other components.

    Built-in 24bit/96kHz High Performance USB Sound card – Pioneer developed an onboard USB sound card that can simultaneously handle input and output audio signals from up to four (4) stereo sources through a single USB port1. The sound card supports 24-bit/96kHz high resolution signal processing, and can input and output all audio signals with no degradation of sound quality. Once connected to a PC or Mac, the settings utility tool can be used to customize the mixer`s output signal path to suit various purposes, such as DJ play, song recording or production2. Furthermore, smooth transfers between DJs are possible with the easily accessible USB ports on the top surface of the mixer.
    Sound Quality Design –The DJM-900nexus is equipped with the same audio input and output circuits as Pioneer`s flagship DJM-2000 to achieve the most accurate audio reproduction from connected sources. The 32-bit digital to analog converter supports all outputs of the mixer, including the master audio outputs, booth outputs as well as headphones. Additionally, the built-in high performance 32-bit digital signal processor (DSP) suppresses any digital and analog circuit noise by way of high quality balanced hybrid operation amps and full balanced output circuits.

Connection

With more DJs continuing to use their personal computers as part of their rig, the new DJM-900nexus is ready for a direct connection to a laptop PC or Mac, increasing its convenience and functionality.

    PRO DJ LINK – Via an Ethernet (LAN) cable, the mixer can quickly link to the latest Pioneer PRO DJ LINK compatible CDJ-2000 and CDJ-900 players (with firmware version 4.00 or later3) or a personal computer running Pioneer's rekordbox™ software, giving users fast access to a song's beats per minute (BPM) and beat location information, resulting in a precise beat matching capability. Furthermore, the built-in quantize mode compensates for Beat Effect operation timing errors automatically, so effects are matched perfectly.

Mixer Layout
The DJM-2000 inherits a larger foot print than its predecessors to accommodate a sectioned layout of features as well as cosmetically match the latest Pioneer CDJ series of digital media players. On the top center section of the mixer resides its EFX capabilities to give DJs a bounty of digital effects. Located on each side of the middle section is its audio mixing controls for connection of up to four digital or USB sources. Across the middle section, Pioneer added new INST FX (Instant Instrument FX) functions which allow DJs to further alter and create more sound effects. And, at the bottom center of the mixer is a large LCD touch display that provides DJs a window for remixing beats and adding effects with the ease of a simple touch of the screen.

Industry First Multi-Touch Panel
A first in the industry for audio mixers, the DJM-2000 incorporates a full-color 5.8-inch LCD multi-touch panel for adding audio effects. Users can simultaneously manipulate the displayed controls on the panel by touching different areas of the screen. Three different performance modes are available including:

    Frequency mix – Enables more precise mixing within seven frequency ranges. For example, users can enhance the bass region within the music they're mixing.
    Sidechain remix – DJs can create seven different dynamic audio effects with touches and movements on the screen.
    MIDI mode – Allows the user to assign various controls displayed on the LCD screen to control DJ software via MIDI. Four types of MIDI modes are available for more performance flexibility.

Evolved Beat Effects
A section of the mixer resides an Evolved Beat Effects adopted from earlier versions of the DJM series of mixers to generate a multitude of sound effects. Numerous buttons were added for selecting multiple effects and beat parameters for additional performance capabilities. Further manipulation of the sound effects can be made using the Effect Frequency knobs that changes the low, mid and high frequency bands of the music. Turns of the knobs enhances the effects to each frequency band, i.e., an echo added specifically to the vocals of the music or a doubling of the hi-hat rhythm, providing incredible performance options.

Instant Instrument FX
The INST FX (Instant Instrument FX) provides six additional audio effects that include Noise, HPF, LPF, Jet, Zip and Crush. Each of the effects can be induced into the channel with a turn of the Filter knob. Additionally, the Parameter knob allows the effects to be fine tuned.

Pro DJ Link
When used specifically with Pioneer's CDJ-2000 or CDJ-900 turntables via Pro DJ Link, the DJM-2000 becomes an even more powerful musical tool. The mixer incorporates four Ethernet ports in the back of the unit allowing up to four of the most recent CDJ turntables to be connected (via LAN cables) while sharing only one music-filled SD card1 or USB storage device. In addition, up to two laptop computers pre-installed with Pioneer's music management software rekordbox™ can be interfaced with the DJM-2000 via LAN cables, in cases that two DJs are transitioning for their individual performances.

Live Sampler
A cool feature of the mixer is its Live Sampler capability which allows the sound from a microphone or from the MASTER output to be recorded directly into the mixer. The "sampled" sound can instantly be transferred via LAN cable to a CDJ-2000/900 for scratching.

Link Monitor
The music files in rekordbox™ can be monitored on headphones.  This allows the DJ to check the song on rekordbox™ before playing it on a player, thus making it a smooth-flow for selecting and playing a song.

USB interface
The DJM-2000 features a USB audio interface2 that allows direct computer connection without the need for an external sound card. Up to four audio sources can be assigned to each channel providing even more flexibility. For additional convenience, the MASTER output can be connected directly to a computer for recording3 of performances.

Sound Quality
Continuing the prestigious reputation of Pioneer mixers, the DJM-2000 provides excellent sound quality. By utilizing balanced hybrid op-amp and a perfectly balanced output circuit in the analog processing stage, Pioneer managed to significantly decrease induced noise resulting in a dynamic range of 107dB with 0.004% THD for an extremely clean and powerful sound.

The Radial J+4 is a stereo interface designed to accept unbalanced low output level devices such as instruments, computers or CD players and boost the signal to a balanced +4dB level for easy manipulation in professional environments such as broadcast, recording studios and live touring.

The design begins with 100% discrete components for optimal signal transfer. Careful attention has been paid to eliminate noise by combining the advantages of active signal buffering with transformer isolation. The J+4 delivers better than 95dB signal to noise while ensuring hum and buzz caused by ground loops along with spurious noise from clocking does not pollute the signal path. For ease of use, controls have been kept to a minimum. This includes a stereo level control, a high pass (low cut) filter and ground lift. The choice of input connectors include a stacked set of ¼`` jacks for DJ mixers or keyboards, RCAs for CD players and a mini 3.5mm for iPods.

As with all Radial products, the Radial J+4 is built tough to handle the extreme rigors of professional touring. A unique 14-gauge steel I-beam inner frame ensures the sensitive PC board will not be subjected to outside stress which could potentially cause solder joints to fail. An innovative book-end outer shell creates protective zones around the controls, switches and connectors to further improve dependability while a full bottom no-slip pad provides both mechanical and electrical isolation.

DDJ-S1

The DDJ-S1 allows for easy transfer of music from the user's laptop with a USB connection for simplicity and quick "plug-and-play" capability with Serato ITCH DJ software. For additional convenience, the controller also comes with a space saving computer dock that allows a laptop's keyboard to slip directly under the controller, enabling its monitor to be closer to the DJ to provide fast visuals of song information while mixing. PIONEER XDJ AERO

The Pioneer XDJ-AERO can wirelessly play music tracks from smart devices such as smartphones, tablets and laptop computers. The XDJ-AERO enables users to mix and arrange their favorite music tracks stored on their smart devices via Wi-Fi, as well as on USB memory devices and computers via included DJ software. As an added benefit and convenience, the XDJ-AERO can also create its own wireless access point when Wi-Fi isn`t available or not in range, further enabling quick and convenient connectivity with portable smart devices.

Pioneer created a special mobile application for various smart devices that enables wireless connection and transmission of music to the XDJ-AERO via Wi-Fi. The XDJ-AERO can identify up to four devices as sources for music playback. The system can also access audio tracks on a computer (PC) through the use of the included Pioneer rekordbox music management software.

The rekordbox DJ music management app for the extremely popular Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. The rekordbox app enables users to prepare and manage music stored on their portable devices as well as the ability to create playlists, cue/loop point and beat location settings, waveform analysis and more. The organized music in the device can also be wirelessly synced with a computer utilizing the Pioneer rekordbox music management PC software, providing additional convenience of preparing music for playback on a Pioneer DJ system.

The XDJ-AERO DJ system takes full advantage of the rekordbox app, enabling the iPhone or iPod touch to become an additional source for music content. The XDJ-AERO also creates its own access point, eliminating the need for hard-wired connections and allowing an iPhone or iPod touch with the rekordbox app to send content wirelessly to the DJ system.

Pioneer`s rekordbox DJ music management app is available now at no charge from the App Store and Google Play.

For added convenience and expandability, the system is equipped with audio ports for connecting other sources such as Pioneer CDJ players, and can even be used as a standalone 2-channel mixer. For creative music playback and unique mixing capabilities, the system offers a built-in jog control, audio effects and more.

- Sample Launch - Includes four built-in sounds: Scratch, Horn, Siren and Laser.

The XDJ-AERO also features two automatic mix functions, Beat Sync and Auto Mix. With Beat Sync, a press of the "Sync" button synchronizes the music loaded in each player on beat with matching beats per minute (BPM). In the Auto Mix mode, playlists created on a smart device using the special mobile application, computer or USB memory device are linked together with cross-fade or fade-in/fade-out effects. For added convenience, the system also lets users record their mixes directly onto a USB storage device in WAV format.

The XDJ-AERO combines two digital players and a mixer into a single slim and stylish unit, taking similar design cues from Pioneer`s highly popular professional CDJ digital players and DJM mixers. The unit also features a smoke-colored acrylic panel, blue and white LED illumination and low-profile jog platter and control buttons.
