comment dikit neh sob. kesan ane pertama transition di beberapa lagu awal agk kurang mulus bagi ane (kurang padet aja / kayak ngantung...-khusus di liquid session bag pertama), udah kebelakang setelah ada noisia & shockone mantebh-an dikit lah....baru ane mulai bisa denger... + kurang EQ-ing di Mix-nya (ane harus naikin sedikit bass & mid-nya biar pas...

Best comment! thanks mate...i did announce it in the beginning of the mix,i'm a producer not a dj...but my tunes gotta be out there yeh? so i'm dj-ing,i don't intend to be a dj,or want people to call me dj bcoz i'm not that good at dj-ing,as simple as that...

i recorded the mix straight from an audio 8 dj soundcard,so yeh,pardon the low-budget sounding mix

as for the mix...i aim for a liquid start,and jump to a dark techy dnb,and lower it down to a deep minimal,it's just my thing...

mastering itu tahap akhir dari produksi...

tahap-tahap menuju mastering ya kalo menurut loe lagunya udah beres,dan sudah di mixing (balanced volume and stereo,etc). harus diperhatikan normal mixdown volume itu -6db (-3db itu sudah paling tinggi)

mastering biasanya dimulai dengan:

1.EQ-ing overall mix (menurut gw optional,karena gw selalu skip step ini). Di sini mungkin loe mau increase the sub level,or mid range,bla bal bla... tergantung hasil mixing loe

2.next adalah Multiband Compressing,di tahap ini loe harus balance semua EQ yang udah loe lakuin di step sebelumnya. karena setiap loe tambah nilai range frequency,maka dia akan mengambil alih frequency tersebut... nah Multiband Compressor ini berfungsi agar satu frequency engga rebutan tempat sm frequency lain

3. next adalah Brickwall Limiter. this is what makes your tune LOUD!!!!!!! hahahahaha tampilannya kaya compressor ada Attack Release,Threshold,Input,dan Output. Output itu biasanya 0db atau -1db ... nah yang loe maenin itu Input Gain-nya. note: perhatikan RMS level bukan Volume Level (karena Volume Level = Output)

tapi beberapa waktu yang lalu,gw dapet ilmu dari temen gw,very simple dia bilang,"how to test your mixdown? put on your Cubase limiter,if it sounds crap,than your mixdown is crap, not the limiter". note: that doesn't mean you do the mixing with a Limiter turned on.

dari situ gw ga pernah berpegang lagi sama 3 step method di atas. but do try it (soalnya gw sampe pegel nih ngetiknya hahahaha)

but if there's a record label sign you,they will master your tunes in the proper hardware mastering studio.
