Description: Finally and proudly we have released the date of the 2008 Loveparade which will commence on the 19th of july in Dortmund.For the very first time the B1 national highway will be closed to allow access to all party lovers to enjoy "The highway to love" and its finishing point in front of the Westfalenhallen.

We have been very lucky to secure this event area as the highway route connects west to east with a traffic flow of 100 000 cars per day, and also beeing the main arterial route through the ever growing Ruhr district which is the most densly populated area in Germany.this is an absolute first in the history of Germany that a highway has been closed for a music and cultural event.

Leading up to the parade on saturday,we will be kicking off the weekend warm up by incorporating all clubs in the area to promote and play their best music for you with guest appearances by top international DJ s. Party starts on Thursday 17th until Sunday 20th of July so keep lookout for your favorite DJ and head on down and support the local club scene.

This year the Love Parade will host more than 1.2 million partiers, 200,000 square meters of space with the following confirmed artists:

Payl Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, David Guetta, Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Kosheen, Booka Shade, ATB, BadboyBill, Fedde Le Grand, Digitalism and more to be announced soon.

Live acts by Underworld, Martini Bros, Blue Man Group, more to be announced soon.

700 djs, 120 parties just last year and this year will be even bigger, louder and include more live acts than ever before!

Under the motto "One Beat - One Ruhrgebiet - 1LIVE," the most successful young radio station in Germany will be underway with their own float again. The 1LIVE rockers Mousse T. and Moguai, as well as Mike Litt and DJ Larse, known from 1LIVE clubbing, will supply the right beats. The much sought after spaces on the float can only be won by listening to the 1LIVE radio show. Afterwards, at the "1LIVE Rocker and Friends" party on the grounds of the former Thier Brewery in Dortmund, the 1LIVE rockers Paul van Dyk, Mousse T., Moguai and Westbam will be joined at the turntables by the magnitude of Fedde le Grand, The Disco Boys, Lexy & K-Paul and many other renowned DJs. 1LIVE will be reporting the entire day from the Loveparade and the party.
