Aaron Ross is by far DJ favourite gue yang pernah dateng ke SUNDAZE.

Sebagai Artist Relation Manager di Strictly Rhythm dan Defected Records, semua producer/dj yang mendambakan lagu-lagunya di release sama 2 record label tersebut harus megirimkan lagu2 nya ke AARON ROSS.

This respected talent from New York is blazing a trail for young and exciting producers through his crisp productions and remixes. Alix has worked with some of the industry's top artists and produced stunning musical gems for some of the world's best underground dance labels including Real Tone, Central Park, Black Vinyl and Essence. From working in the studio with Osunlade on remix projects to collaborating on new material with Lem Springsteen (Mood II Swing), Franck Roger and MR V, this self-taught musician is fast becoming a household name in underground house circles.

Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, Alix grew up around a mixture of music; hip-hop, R&B and salsa were a daily consumption of Alix's musical diet. That appetite grew further when Alix was introduced to the turntables at the age of 12. He quickly abandoned sports and other activities so he could spend time blending and cutting up records, though he wouldn't realize the full effect of DJing until being exposed to the club scene in his later teens. One party in particular was The Shelter at Club Vinyl where Timmy Regisford held court every Saturday night. The Shelter was Alix's first taste of underground nightlife and, along with other underground venues, played a vital role in shaping Alix's sound. Inspired, he began to promote himself by selling his mix tapes on the streets. His determination to make a name for himself as a DJ was the first step in Alix's musical evolution; the next step would be to create the music he loved.

Alix began school at the Institute of Audio Research in Manhattan to study audio engineering where he graduated as one of the top students in his class. It wasn't long before his hard work in school paid off. His interest in learning about the recording studio eventually led him to an assistant engineer position at MAW Studios owned by 'Little' Louie Vega and Kenny 'Dope' Gonzales. It was his experience and training at MAW Studios that helped him develop the studio engineering skills that would soon lead to him writing and producing his own deep house gems.

To date, Alix has produced and remixed records for some of the worlds most respected deep house labels. The underground smash 'Rising into Joy', which he produced and co-wrote with veteran singer Arnold Jarvis, was released on Blackvinyl Records in spring of 2002. It received critical acclaim for its sensual vocals and smooth glistening production, and is just one example of Alix's deep, sultry, jazz-influenced production style. Alongside 'Rising Into Joy', Alix's other original production work includes the 'Nu Breed EP' on Essence and the 'Reflections EP' on Dancetracks. Some of his remix work includes Tortured Soul's 'How's Your Life?', House Headz' 'The Anthem', Luna's 'Alone', Alma Horton's 'Gimmie That Music', Santos' 'Love Made For Two' and Mr.V's 'Jus' Dance'. He continues to build on an already impressive discography and his sound continues to mature.

While Alix focuses primarily on production, his skills are just as sharp when it comes to DJing. He has rocked crowds all over NYC - including underground hot spots like Bang the Party and Club Cielo – and has kept heads bumping in Tokyo, Paris, London, Istanbul and Toronto. Alongside fellow emerging producer/DJ Mr V, Alix established a popular underground dance party in NYC named Sole Channel. The duo decided to put the party on hold in the summer of 2004 to concentrate on developing another project of their own, SOLE Channel Music. Armed with fresh sounds, new ideas and exciting new collaborations from artists' such as Franck Roger, Siji and Arnold Jarvis, SOLE Channel is leading the way in innovative and forward thinking music in the underground dance scene.

Recent releases including the Defected/Soul Heaven-released 'Shake Dat Booty'
As Alix explains, maintaining longevity and credibility through his music are vital to his success. 'My main focus is to keep making music that stands the test of time', he says.

DJ, Producer, Parisian re-mixer, Resident Dj at the Queen club, FG Dj radio and ex-résident of L'Enfer. He played his first turntables when he was 13, and at the age of 19 was one of the youngest resident DJ's in Paris. Since this time, influenced by the great DJs of the world, he worked non-stop to find his technique and style until he reached top international DJ-level.

He has been side-by-side with many well-known Dj's such as Dj Sneak, Johnny Corporate, Dj Spen, Little Louie Vega, Dj Deep, Frankie Feliciano, Jazzanova, Kerri Chandler, Roger Sanchez, Dennis Ferrer, Danny Krivit, Martin Solveig, Jamie Lewis ...

His present, very club-style, « Pumping Soulful House » influenced by the French and New-york scene, can be qualified as unique. In his element from Deep House to Techno, he handles his vinyls and Cds like a raw product. His aim, whilst concentrating on the frequencies and the organic side of his mix, is above all to be at one with his public and to give them a show.

PRODUCTION

In 2006 and 2007 he did the Anthems "I believe" included a Jamie Lewis remix and the follow up "He reigns"  and " I'm free" ( featuring Lt. Brown) on Purple music label, which were one of the biggest tunes of the Winter Conference 2007. Charted by the best famous dj's (Humpries, Vega, Spen & Dennis Ferrer...). They were also number one of a lot of top downloads (Traxsource, Beatport...).

In the same time, he released a 12inch (I go deep) on Kerri Chandler's label (Grei matter), a Dj Gregory remix on Faya combo/Defected, two remixes for Defected label (Dennis Ferrer : Touched the sky & Mark Grant) and a remix of Quentin Harris for Stricly rhythm (My joy) and also a Monique Bingham remix for Syam/Shelter. An album and a compilation are expected very soon.
