24/7 & SAE presents: TUNNIDGE (Deep Medi / Chestplate, UK)
FULLY SUPPORTED BY TRAX FM

Deep Medi, Chestplate, Tectonic, Get Darker and Origin Audio is a release catalogue that few Dubstep producers can boast. Tunnidge has been producing and releasing Dubstep from the fledgling days of the scene. His first introduction to the scene was via the support of DMZ member and Dubstep pioneer Mala who championed his music on his acclaimed label Deep Medi. Later he was quickly adopted to Distances Chestplate camp being the first ever artist apart from Distance himself to release on this ever-growing label.
Monstrous releases such as Geddeon, 7Breaths, Dark Skies, Control and the remix of Truths Puppet Master have affirmed his ability to create heavy weight dance floor smashers in juxtaposition to the more deeper experimental tracks such as Tribe, Decay and Universal which was released by the legendary Tectonic imprint.

As well as the music production and DJing Tunnidge also keeps himself busy with the portrait designs of the Deep Medi label. With exhibitions of his work appearing in London, Greece and New York, his distinct artwork style has become synonymous with the brand of the Deep Medi label.
As a DJ Tunnidge hits hard, selecting the dark dance floor style music he is known for producing. Headlining all over the world and frequent visits to the U.S his accolades include playing the top events, festivals and Radio shows of the Dubstep world, DMZ, Deep Medi, Fabric, Outlook Festival, Get Darker events, FWD, Gritsy, SubMission, Oi!, Get Darker TV, Kiss FM, Rinse FM and now along with the other Chestplate family a bi-monthly slot on BBC Radio 1xtras Mista Jams Dubstep show.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EMP Workshop: SAE Institute, 6th Floor fX Senayan. 1500 - 1700+

During the workshop, Tunnidge will cover aspects of sound design, how he achieves the atmospherics synonymous with his music, and also discuss UK Bass Culture and the history of the Dubstep sound.

A handful of lucky participants will also join Tunnidge in the studio for a 20 minute private session, where they can hear his sound on studio reference monitors.

The Workshop is free to attend, and participants will get entered onto the guestlist for the DJ set at 365 Eco Bar.

"diluar itu everything's great"??? They confiscated people's cigarettes at the door, declaring them contraband. I'm quite sure that's illegal. They ran out of alcohol, and water. Running out of water at a party where it is essential people are able to hydrate is really really not 'great'.

We'd actually had gigs at Domain and Tree House for the past year.. but probably under most people's radar. I hadn't been on Ravelex anyways. Thanks peeps!

I have literally heard NOONE in Jakarta ever play Grime except us.. even these posts on Ravelex for mixes containing "Grime".. not one Grime track. I wonder if peeps actually know what it is. Maybe they think it's the same thing as Dubstep? God knows.

3 Years ago this month three lads were bold enough with the support of their DJ friends to start a pure Dubstep night in Jakarta. 3 years later, we return with some new faces to where it all began; 365 Eco Bar, Kemang. Please come support us as we turn 3, and continue to push the deeper side of UK Bass into next year.

Judging from Twitter, she's carrying a LOT of Dubplates right now; especially a new thing she's done with Scratcha/DVA. Apparently, she played "Set of the Night" at the recent Hyperdub party in London.

This set is gonna be A MADNESS.

COOLY G (HYPERDUB, UK)

Saturday 19th February @ 2230-0330

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Artist Profile: Cooly G (Merrisa Campbell) comes from Brixton. She's often placed within the growing UK Funky movement, and her tracks almost always include a dancefloor-ready bassline. Yet she wouldn't describe herself as part of the scene, even though she used to rap for funky producer Fingaprint. Her dad had his own studio which she used to play about with, so she'd learned to DJ at the age of seven and was teaching music technology to men three times her age two months after she left school.

'I'm more minimal tech, bit of dubstep, bit of this and that. Funky to me sounds fruity; it's quick little beats and a little bit of vocal. I go deeper, I spend a lot of time on the production'.

Comfortably the UK's only semi-pro footballer and professional DJ/producer (I may be wrong), Cooly G is bringing a deeper flavour to Funky that I for one am welcoming with open ears.

Funky - for any of you unaware - takes the broken rhythms of soca and the 4/4 undercurrent of house and plants them both on the solid bassline attitude of dubstep. Artists such as Roska, Apple, Lil Silva and Hard House Banton have provided the high points thus far and there's even been a bumrushing of the charts via K.I.G's faintly ridiculous Head, Shoulders Knees and Toes.

All of these have had a strong jump-up or dirty grime feel to them, but Cooly G takes it to a darker place without compromising the infectious dancefloor potential of Funky.

"STEP THRU"
PROPER'S 1st Birthday

Saturday 27th November 2010: 2230-0330

Mr Dymz (Junglizta)
Electrofux (Radical Regime / Submerged)

It's widely known that Mr Dymz and Electrofux were the first two DJs bold enough to play Dubstep in Indonesia. We wouldn't exist if they hadn't already planted the seed in the minds of the people before our arrival. Both of them are involved in production, and their years of experience both in the studio and behind the decks will be evident on this night. Yes, we're here to celebrate our first Birthday, but we're also paying respect to the true pioneers and innovators of Dubstep in Indonesia. This night goes out to them, and to you.

"Pay tribute to the past, embrace the present and build a better future"

gw discuss sama admin yg lain yaa.. secara prinsip, we are open to things that are positive to local EDM :)
maybe we can also meet up and talk about this..  ;)

Yes man, would be good to discuss this.. because there's a lot I don't know about the forum, and I think I'm missing some "tricks" and things when posting up events for our big name DJs.. maybe you can help out?

Just send your PIN or Number by PM, alright? Thanks bro! =)

@uchabanget: Fair play bro... I know it takes time of course, and we can't expect big things especially in a market as tough as Indonesia where the crowd aren't really open to new experiences. Well let's see next year after we've done a lot more parties and brought more names here, we'll be on the map for sure. Actually we have a lot of support outside Indonesia which makes what we're doing here much easier. Pretty soon they won't be able to ignore what we're doing. ;) >> Moderators: Can we have a Thread for Dubstep / Grime / Garage / UK Funky please?? Thanks!!
#18
Wow. Trance a go-go. Shame most people didn't even know Ramadanman was here.. maybe next year Cooly G will get a mention, or the other Dubstep artists we're bringing here.

Would like to see more diversity on the board. Few people on the forum even seem aware of our existence, or the fact we're bringing London DJs representing Dubstep and Grime on a regular basis.

Peace.

HEADHUNTER will be playing in Jakarta next week, if you really want to understand Dubstep.

PROPER 'Halloween Special'
=Future Bass Music=

Thursday October 28th: 2200 - 0300

...
HEADHUNTER (Tempa Records, UK)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Headhunter is a Dubstep producer / DJ from Bristol, England, currently signed to Tempa. Starting off with twitchy minimal half-step rhythms on the label Ascension he set up with flat-mate Tech Itch (aka Technical Itch), his sound now occupies a niche section of the dubstep scene, sitting comfortably between the ultra-heavy bass styles of Skream, Benga and his Tempa stable mates, and the deeper Berlin influenced techno side of the dubstep coin, favoured by the likes of Scuba, 2562 & Martyn.

His debut album 'Nomad' was released in September 2008 on Tempa. In 2010 he created the alias "Addison Groove" in order to produce 2step Garage, and did his first Techno/Dubstep Audio/Visual performance in Berlin in the same year.

Thursday 5th August @ 1030pm - 0330am

...Celebrating Ade Habibie's Birthday!!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RAMADANMAN (Hessle Audio, UK)

David 'Ramadanman' Kennedy has been DJing since the age of 14, beginning with deep house and hip hop and progressing to jungle as he grew older.

He initially started producing Grime instrumentals before a friend pointed out his sound was more like dubstep, and took him to hear Mala playing at FWD for the first time in 2006. Ramadanman was hooked, and shifted his production towards this fresh new sound.

Since then David has racked up a number of critically acclaimed releases on a diverse selection of labels including Soul Jazz, Tempa, Aus, Critical Music and Hessle Audio, the label he co-runs with Pangaea and Ben UFO. Ramadanman has also remixed a variety of artists including the Ragga Twins, Scuba, Beat Pharmacy, Howie B, James Fox, SpectraSoul and the Bulgarian group Wickeda. He has enjoyed DJ support from the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Skream, Mr Scruff, Craig Richards, Francois K, Kode9, Mala, Distance, Mary Anne Hobbs, Rob da Bank, Gilles Peterson, Will Saul and many more.

He is also heavily involved in organizing the Leeds night Ruffage as well as co-hosting the now infamous Ruffage Sessions weekly internet radio show on Sub FM. Ramadanman DJs often both nationally and internationally including regular dates at the world renowned "Fabric" in London, and plays annually at the Outlook Festival in Croatia.

He has a reputation for being a very forward-thinking DJ and Producer, with a broad range of influences that shape his sound into something more vibrant, relaxing and progressive than his peers. Ramadanman is still very young in relation to what he has already achieved, and this year is really at the top of his game.
