2015 was a significant year for LeftRight Sound. Not only the label made its much-anticipated official launch, it has also set its footstep in the electronic music scene, with releases being played out in radios, clubs & festivals across continents, from Australia, Asia to Europe. LeftRight Sound, with now six releases on its discography, has also received positive praises from DJs, producers, other labels & like-minded music aficionados around the world.

To mark the special year, label founder Timsdub presents the label's first compilation album, curating its best releases throughout 2015. Containing 13 tracks, including a continuous DJ mix and three new tracks, it features the artists involved in the label's early releases.

LeftRight Compilation Vol. 1 is the mark of the label's beginning, as the label continues to grow carrying its flag, 'Purveyor of Decent Electronic Music,' in the future ahead.

Leftright Sound maintains its edge of purveying decent electronic music, thanks to this Kumustakana EP by Darkoloco. An experienced DJ who's absorbed his music influences from living in the US, Netherlands, Philippines, and now Indonesia, it is, surprisingly, his first-ever debut release as an artist-producer.

Deep & percussive styling that's become his trademark appears obvious in original tracks, "Affair" & "Doin' Nothing," while the three remixes offer flexible options for DJs to play out; whether it's DJ Ical's minimalistic approach, Flikswitch's clubby take, or deep & quirky touch of Timsdub. Whichever is being picked, this EP guarantees to be your secret sonic weaponry.

Ben Tidy a.k.a. Satu Bule Jelek is a UK house DJ/producer currently based in Indonesia. His move into a different culture has taken his music experimentation to a new level. Featured track in this EP, "Lagu Hutan," is crafted fully using random nature sounds & obscure noises he recorded while trekking in one Eastern Borneo forest. The four-track EP brings quality electronic music for different ears; from smooth, deep afro vibe in "Rasa Baru," to the sleazy tech house of "1000 Tiny Moments." "Lagu Hutan" also gets a remix treatment from label founder Timsdub, who keeps it lo-fi and bass-heavy, making this another irresistible gem from LeftRight Sound.

After leaning towards tech house sound in early releases, LeftRight Sound brings a new gem on the more space-disco tip. Titled "Another Space Invasion," the EP comes from none other than the ever-versatile, dynamic duo of Basement House.

The standout cut, "Neptune," is made up of raw synth & drum sounds, giving it a wickedly dramatic analog vibe. Driven by fuzzy, head-nodding bassline, the tune makes an epic sonic excursion. Meanwhile, "Saturn" is more slow-burning, with glimmers of trippy bits & pieces leading onto eargasmic climaxes.

After putting various quality releases out there, this could undeniably be Basement House's best production yet to date.

CODEKID - PINK NOISE EP

Cape Town's wonderkid CodeKid makes his debut on LeftRight Sound imprint with a bold tech house release. Famous for his Globalize Yourself Stereo project, CodeKid presents the title single, "Pink Noise", a bassline-driven track with a lot of sinister synth actions and hypnotic vocals, bringing enough energy to keep dancefloor interested.

He takes things differently in "Pink Laces," however, crafted with deep chords & textures, feeding it into a seductive groovy tune. Timsdub remix of the track is a more uplifting one, thanks to unexpected twist of killer piano riffs & acid lines, giving us euphoric listening pleasure.

The closing track, "Just Love," is a more chillout affair, manipulated by dub ambient & percussive elements, indicating this young talent's African musical roots.

Introducing the debut release of LeftRight Sound, Glitch Me - EP sets to lay the foundation for the label's soundscape. Catered for different club situations & dancefloor flexibility, the three-track EP presents the original track by label founder Timsdub. A deep, glitchy, yet driving, late night groover which would suit into any  tech house sets. With futuristic elements & quirky compositions, it's a delectable treat for any house heads.

The first guest remixer for the label is Damian Wheeler, a Sydney-based producer also regarded as local hero in his hometown Brisbane. Known for his versatility behind the decks & funk-driven techno style, Damian transforms the track into a darker mood. With minimal elements crafted with timely soul vocal sample, the remix sets to take us into an epic sonic journey.

Meanwhile, Basement House's DJ Ical brings another dimension to the track with his jackin', Afro house influences. With wonky basslines & twisted vocals, the repercussion is a body-movin', soul-shaking dancefloor weapon!
