Voting akan dibuka pada hari Rabu, 18 Januari 2006 dan ditutup pada Sabtu 18 Februari 2006. Hasil voting insya allah akan diumumkan pada tanggal 1 Maret 2006.

Seperti ajang undian berhadiah. Seluruh pengurus website ini dilarang ikut serta dalam ajang ini. Termasuk website ini tentunya.
Hal ini dilakukan biar kita (admins) ngga dibilang memanfaatkan ajang ini untuk kepentingan pribadi sob.

Yah mungkin award tahun depan baru boleh lah yah,biar fair, kalau dipilih sama member disini tentunya.

Saya dukung sepenuhnya Ravelex awards, dan two thumbs up for the organizers.

Having said that, these awards somewhat lose its credibility when on the "Club of The Year", anyone could vote for "Circa", and yet where is Stadium ?
The voting for the best club totally ignored the years of contribution by one of the most (in)famous clubs in South East Asia, STADIUM, in bringing electronic dance music into mainstream psyche in Indonesia.

I totally understand that there maybe commercial tie-ins between Ravelex organizers and Circa, BUT, why victimizing Stadium in exchange for promoting such small and elitist club who have yet to hold a full year of regular dance/club nights ??
Why can't Stadium be included in the nomination ?
Does this reflect elitist opinions of such organizers over the raw, filthy, and in-your-face Stadium ?
or the perception over the sub-par music played in stadium ?

C'mon guys.

Where do all clubbers in Jakarta go in the mornings when every other club in Jakarta has closed ??

Which club that has continuously served the need of mainstream Jakarta clubbers for generic dance music over the past few years ??

Which club in Jakarta that has been the host for World's top DJs to play in Jakarta, such as Sasha, Chus+Ceballos, Danny Howells, Saeed+Palash, Yosithosi, Steve Lawler, Anthony Pappa, Sander Kleinenberg etc etc  ???

By including such club as Circa over the exclusion of Stadium, you only did a disservice to your own integrity and the interest of your dance community.

So please please use your better judgement and think it over, and I hope it's not too late to make any late changes.

Sander Kleinenberg main di Stadium Oktober 2004 (gue dateng), dan Saeed&Palash main di Stadium Oktober 2003 (gue nggak dateng karena lagi di LN).

I also wonder why the (in)famous club mentioned only in 4 out of 42 total post in club of the year topics. Hal ini menempatkan dia di urutan ke 5 dengan club ijakarta yang terpilih.

So why not stadium? masih ada 6 nominasi lain dari 10 yang tersedia?
memang benar nominasi masuk dari rekomendasi member, dan memang benar tidak ada yang memilih CIRCA di forum ini.
Alasan mengapa kita memilih circa, karena kita tidak ingin menelantarkan komunitas yang dianggap "eksklusif" atau "kecil" atau "sub-underground" atau "minor" or whatever you call it. Menurut kami circa berhasil mengakomodir komunitas kecil tersebut. Dan circa juga dengan konsisten mensupport komunitas tersebut dimana orang lain (club lain) memandang mereka sebelah mata. Jawaban yang sama akan gua berikan kepada yang menanyakan kenapa Ravelex award mensupport Komunitas seperti Drum n Bass, atau memasukkan nama Deep Forest - Solo (di kategori rave of the year), padahal dibanding yang lain komunitas mereka termasuk kecil. Kami merasa bahwa mereka juga pantas diberi pengakuan.

Do we have commercial tie in with circa?
1. hmmm.... Seumur hidup saya (pribadi), baru sempat ke Circa 1 kali. Dan baru ajah kenalan ama PR (ato marketingnya??) kemarin, saat kita menanyakan apakah Circa bersedia memberikan tanggal untuk promosi award ini.
2. This is a non-profit website, theres no such things as commercial interests.

Gua juga ada pertanyaan nih...
Apakah dari sekian ribu orang yang menjadikan Stadium tempat clubhopping terakhir sebelum pulang ke rumah menganggap tempat itu yang Terbaik untuk mendengarkan musik elektronik, atau mereka punya alasan lain (yang lebih penting) pergi ke tempat itu?

hehehe. Mudah mudahan jawaban ini bisa diterima oleh sodara Ian.
