Daniel Kandi is undoubtably one of the biggest upcoming trance producers to emerge from Europe at the moment.

Above & Beyond was quick to react to Daniel Kandi's VERY first demo, and signed it straight away. "Breathe" became Daniel's first single on one of the successful Trancelabels called Anjunabeats, and charted high on various onlineshops and got canned by Above & Beyond, Judge Jules, Armin Van Buuren, and many more.
Breathe, Child/Nova, Make Me Believe/I Found The Way, Turnmills/Soraya all took top 5 and top 10 placements on the Trance Charts online, and gained support from the biggest names in the business.

Gigs in Godskitchen@Poland saw him spinnin' for 7000 trancelovers, playing alongside Sander Van Doorn, Above & Beyond, Dubfire, Marcus Schossow, and Marcel Woods! He also played in London at the now closed and legendary club The Gallery @ Turnmills alongside Super8 & Tab and James Grant. But by far the best reactions came, when Daniel travelled a total of 17 hours BY CAR, back and fourth !?!, to play in a packed trance-tent, at Global Gathering in Poland. 2008 has been the break for this young producer, and during the year, he will play alongside Above & Beyond, Super8 & Tab, Sander Van Doorn, Aly Dubfire, Matt Hardwick, Jon O'Bir, Fedde Le Grand, Airbase, Aly & Fila, Marcel Woods and many other top jocks! Besides doing great with his own productions, Daniel Kandi is also known for being a very consistent remixer. The support for his tunes in 2008 has been massive, and the text underneath is the proof.

Luke Warner & Mat Lock - Deep Psychosis Daniel Kandi's Cure Mix entered the ASOT radioshow with promising words from Armin. The week after it was also earned TUNE OF THE WEEK, and the week after FUTURE FAVORITE, and even played on ASOT 350 live from Belgium. Even before that, it was a tune that got many "what is this"-requests during Armins last US-tour..! Suddenly back in the top 20 on Beatport.com more than 4 months after it's release, Armin Only made alot of new people, aware of the tune.

Andy Blueman – Time To Rest (Daniel Kandi's Bangin Mix) got alot of great support on A State Of Trance with Armin van Buuren and he even canned it at Armin Only 2008 in Uttrecht infront of 20000 people. It also reached top 5 on most onlineshops, and also seemed to prove that sawtrance with the right power, can still succeed, with both the critics and the crowd.

Masters & Nickson - Out There (5th Dimension) [Daniel Kandi's Bangin' Mix] has been one of the most anticipated remixes from Daniel, ever since it aired last winter on ASOT. Hailed a top 3 tune from Daniel Kandi's own production by most of his fans, it just received further positive words, when it got 5/5 in the DJ Mag Review. Alex M.O.R.P.H. also reviewed the track as "Absolutely fantastic! 10 out of 10!". Already climbing up the charts to no. 1 on Audiojelly.com, due to the massive support from Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten (Also charted as No. 1 on his Beatport Chart), Ronski Speed, Alex M.O.R.P.H., ATB and a string of other top DJ's. It seems to have become one of the melodic anthems of the 2008 summer.

Kiholm - Fragile (Daniel Kandi's Emotional Mix) is yet another firm remix from the danish guy. Producing the remix for his fellow countryman, he tried to keep the emotional melody and add a darker touch to the tune. Armin van Buuren seemed to like it straight away and featured it on ASOT 352 and got back to back Record of the week / Web Vote Winner on Trance Around the World with Above & Beyond.


DANIEL KANDI UPCOMING PROJECTS :

Daniel is also currently working on tracks for a future album, plus collaborations with Robert Nickson, Simon Patterson, and * (secret still, *schhh!*). The collaboratings with Robert Nickson seems to become a more frequent event in the future, since their friendship in the studio spun magical tunes at Daniel's first visit to The Netherlands. Besides those mentioned, a new Daniel Kandi single should be in the works for Anjunabeats.

There is no release date yet, BUT : Daniel Kandi & Daniel Neumann - "Let Go / Lovin' Feeling" will get released as an EP, on Anjunabeats late 2008

BIOGRAPHY

Globe Trotting DJ, Producer, part of Underworld Live and their in house engineer.

He has travelled the globe so much that the passport office gave him two passports to use at the same time. His own DJ destinations make for a diverse wish list - having played everywhere from Bosnia to Tasmania and in the maddest of places ranging from underground nuclear bunkers to 6000 ft up mount Fuji in Japan. Then there are the live gigs he performs with Rick & Karl as Underworld Live, playing main stages at the biggest festivals around the globe. With crowds reaching some 70,000 strong when DJ'ing and Underworld Live gaining crowds of 80,000.

Darren's remixed more Underworld records than anyone else including the chart topping Born Slippy, Push Upstairs, Banstyle and in 2002 Dinosaur Adventure. He's done collaborations Japanese superstar Hotei, which boasts record sales in Japan that Madonna would be proud of (one selling more than 850,000 copies). He has written music for Sony Playstation both solo and with Underworld. He's also been involved in film soundtracks with Hotei on the Japanese movie "KT", then again with Underworld on "Breaking and Entering" (Anthony Minghella-2006) and the more recent sci-fi blockbuster "Sunshine" (Danny Boyle-2007). His outstanding list of remixes range from Underworld, Depeche Mode, Electronic (New Order), Sven Vath, Super Furry Animals - the list goes on...

Following the start of the Acid House revolution in 1988, he started DJ'ing after going to clubs like Shoom and the Trip. During that first year he was a bedroom DJ, making mix tapes for friends that got copied and past around. Then in 1989 he started to DJ at raves and clubs in and around London like Phil Perry's Queens & full Circle and Andrew Weatherall's Boy's Own & Sabresonic. It wasn't long before word spread and he found himself DJ'ing up and down the country before taking off internationally. He then went on to tour with Underworld as the bands' DJ back in 1994, which over the years has seen him travelling to most parts of the world, warming up the crowd prior to the band's arrival on stage and then finishing up, after they've rocked the house. Today he is now a part of Underworld Live, jamming his own tracks live between and during Underworld songs. Also still DJ'ing before the show when he can.

As a producer Darren started making music in the early nineties, having a string of releases throughout the decade from his singles on Junior Boys Own and Novamute in the late nineties with the EP's The Attic and Blueprints, closely followed by his debut album Under the Flightpath. He's also had 4 releases on Darren Emerson's Underwater record label under the names Eddie Wolf and Cliffhanger. More recently he has recorded with Pete Heller as "The Cooler Kings" on Pete's Phela label. His new solo recordings which he plays live with Underworld include the ever popular Yardbeat (with Darren's own vocals!), Shake That Higher and the tracks he wrote for the Cocoon Club jam and broadcast Circus Faker and Can You Feel This Bass.
