Resist, one of the leading independent dance labels in the world, is proud to unveil its latest compilation series, 'The World's Greatest Trance'. Now what you may be thinking is that this is another godawful DJ Sammy and Scooter Flip 'n' Filled "classics" album but you couldn't be further from the truth. A storming collection of the finest in new and old trance taking in anything from euphoric, electro right through to psy and all for less than eight English pounds.

Kicking off the series in style is The World's Greatest Trance. In addition to featuring some of the world's greatest producers around today, it has no less than five of the Top 10 DJs from DJ Mag's most recent Top 100. Look out for Tiësto's The Loves We Lost to the pinnacle moment from Above & Beyond's debut album - the Royksopp-esque Stealing Time, they're all present and correct here.

The biggest hits aren't always the best of course, you know that, and so does Resist. Luckily, the last 12 months have delivered to the dance floor the best crop of underground anthems in years, resolutely gathered together here, including Lange & Gareth Emery's 'Another You, Another Me' and Team SR's genre-bending Leaving London to name but two. But let's not overlook that this compilation is as much about the future perfect as it is about the past tense.

Prospective anthems for 2007 come in the shape of Ferry Corsten's mix of Mind One's 'Hurt Of Intention and M.O.R.P.H. & Rank 1's anthem-in-the-wings Life Less Ordinary.

An out-and-out exclusive, the 'lost' Above & Beyond remix of Billie Ray Martin's 'Honey' has been unearthed from the vaults at Resist Music and features for the first time ever on CD1. Over 240 minutes, 'The World's Greatest' builds through deep trance into the melodic and then up to the higher reaches of euphoric. On CD2 all things Tech & Psy are catered for. Feeling a bit nostalgic? CD3 is a special Trance Anthems disc that stretches back in time to the days when BT and The Space Brothers ruled the highways and byways of trance town.
