gw pgn info tentang psy trance  genre trance yg menurut gw mungkin bisa dipakai di set2 trance..
dan mungkin share playlist nya soalnya gw juga masih buta di psy... dan search plat2...

Apakah Trance jenis ini yg eksperimental? psychedelic=penuh warna.. Instrumennya rame ya? Gimana kalo Trance berpadu dengan unsur dnb n breakbeat, gue pernah remix punya lymbers dengan style ginian..

psy trance sound is more "cybernetic"... kalo goa lebih "organic"... tapi style nya sih mirip banget...

Infected Mushroom = Psy Trance
Astral Projection = Goa Trance

Psy Trance = progressive sound, weird samples, elongated sounds, droning base drum, a bit slower then goa, use of distorsion in the synths

Goa Trance = intricate base lines, indian/middle eastern influences (hence the name "goa" comes from a beach/retreat district in India called Goa), lots of layers of sounds overlaping each other, fast changing melodies.


Psytrance removes the hindu/indian/middle-eastern influence and the melodies and basically gives you what GOA is lacking by introducing futuristic sounds. It's basically the more technologically advanced GOA whereas GOA relies on keeping it a bit on the old school front.

GOA is more organic. It relies on the rawness of music. It has your typical hindu/indiean/middle-eastern influence with the complex drumlines, the more up-beat cheerful sound, and in some cases the chanting that so many of us hear in GOA.

Psytrance is a descendant of GOA. GOA was around long before psytrance even surfaced as a genre.

Take Astral Projection for example: Most of their music is GOA. It contains the more trippy, mind-altering elements than a typical psytrance song.

Astral Projection's music is primarily GOA. They do produce psytrance tracks, however they seem to focus more on GOA, although their newest album "Amen" seems to be more on the psytrance edge.

Anyway, there are differences between GOA and psytrance. It's very difficult to explain it, but there are. Listen to Infected Mushroom and Astral Projection and compare the two. You'll notice the difference then.

imho si kaga ada bedanye karena kategori dj2 goa pasti masuk dalam list yg sama dengan psy..
psy trance are likely just an american statement i think

anyway the dj's playing this kinda music are mostly came from the israel and greece
for ones of the illest former goa/psy trance music you can listen to man with no name, and juno reactor (tapi yg ini agak2 metal, hihihi....)
